    Not sure if this has been mentioned yet in this thread, but Lamplighter Brewing (http://www.lamplighterbrewing.com) is planning to open this Spring/Summer in Cambridge MA.

    thanks for the mentions and YES it is true! Exhibit 'A' Brewing bought Jacks Abby's original brewhouse and fermentors, plus the silo, 100s of feet of piping, a boiler, chiller and all the other fixins'. Plus a brand new Wild Goose 600 Canning Line. Of course, signed a new lease and have begun renovating at 81 Morton Street in Framingham. The brewery is looking great. Lots of subtle changes but still keeping the charm of what Jack and his team built there. We are very excited to share our new beers and offer a choice tap room experience starting this summer.

    This is a bias opinion. But we are spoiled in MA. Especially with Trillium and JA expansion. Phenominal beers available on store shelves!

    Also feel like breweris are clustering. Trillium, Blue Hills, and Castle Island. JA and now Exhibit. Wormtown, Dreams, 3C, and Cold Habor. I sure there are many more examples. Thoughout New England. Recent NH visit made me aware of NH seacoast surge.

    Add another grouping with the Nightshift, Mystic, CBC, Slumbrew, and soon-to-return Idle Hands as well.

    We are hoping for a late summer opening. But things are progressing well at Exhibit 'A' Brewing. Once we have our ABCC and local approvals, production may be able to start right away. Once we are brewing,we are likely to open about 1 month to get some variety for our guests right away.

    Floodwater Brewing Company plans to open this summer in Shelburne Falls, MA. On the Buckland side. Named after the biblical Deerfield River flood during storm Irene in 2011.

    If anyone else is keeping track, this will also bring the breweries per Franklin County resident ratio under 1 : 9,000.

    Anyone here tried True West yet? It's not clear to me what they are currently brewing, and reviews on other sites seem mixed. I was wondering if it was worth a visit.

    From Hopster's FB page "Great news! Hopsters has identified a new 6,000 sq.ft location in the Boston Seaport/Fort Point Channel and will reach an agreement very soon! Many of our customers have asked us to expand our brewery and brewing concept, bringing our great local craft beers and food to downtown Boston. We believe the Fort Point Channel is a great area and in much need of a Craft Brewery and Restaurant. Watch this space for updates!"

    Yawn. Will be almost entirely a corporate outing spot. May do well in that spot, but not something to get excited about if you're looking for actual craft beer rather than extract homebrew done at a larger scale.

    Eater Boston has an update on a few breweries, summary (much of which has been mentioned here):

    - Barrel House Z in Weymouth is close to brewing;
    - Exhibit 'A' is moving into old Jack's Abby space. Shooting for mid june; and
    - Bone Up in Everett is brewing beer, taproom is a ways off.
