Anyone else think this would have been an absolutely epic beer... If it was soured? It has such a great base, with great peach flavor... I smelled it and immediately hoped/prayed it was but knew it wasn't. Hey new Belgium, please read this and make it sour, it has such a great backbone for it... Reminds me of Cisco pechish... But not good

I think its awesome as it is. Does anyone know if this beer has been treated liike bret beer, or will the brett continue to bottle condition?

I disagree. I think it was a very good beer, much better than Tart Lychee. Its a Saison, not a true "sour," and I thought it was true to the style. But to each their own.

    From NB:

"The feel of this beer starts big sweet and chewy, some nice boozy warmth, but we’ve dried the finish out to invite the next sip. After cellared the bretta will bring a complex texture to this lounger."

yeah i think so. it's strange that they would leave these 2 lesser beers unpasteurized but pasteurize la folie. anyone know why?

I hate when distro/brewery people say stuff like that.

Not sure that I hate anyone for what they say but I did enjoy the PPL on tap tonight at NB much more than the bottle I had. So I'm hoping age will make a difference but either way not my style so I'll never know!

Maybe I should have cellared mine.

The Alpine collab was great though.

The Alpine Colab was good IMO but did not come close to Alpne brews (ipa,2ipa)

never believe a wet behind the ears rep a month or 2 will make no difference in this brew a year yes

In my mind it WAS close, especially when you factor in price ($5.99 a bomber) and availability. But of course it wasn't as good, that is Alpine's speciality and they are damn good at it! Props to NB for making a beer I enjoy and looking forward to their Chocolate Coffee Imperial Stout coming out soon!

Well I personally know this guy very well (not a rep), so maybe he was just making this up or didn't know what he was talking about, I'm sure your right.

Never had anything Alpine so I very much enjoyed Super IPA.

That said, this Chocolate Coffee Imperial Stout you speak of has got my full and undivided attention. I have a feeling I know the answer to this but will that be a LoF offering, and thus a bomber, or will this be *crosses fingers super tightly* a seasonal offered in 6 packs?
