I get a lot of comments on my Pretty Things (RIP) tulip, which I love:

What do y'all have from breweries that no longer exist?

If you consider any brewery to be 'awesome' (which it probably isn't if it's gone belly-up), I have 4-5 shaker pints from closed breweries. That does make these glasses more collectible, right?

Other than Pretty Things, is there any brewery of renown that has gone under recently?

Not sure. I'd assume so - good businesses can go out of business just as bad ones can.

The only national name that I can think of (and it's not very recent -- maybe 4-5 years ago), was Michigan Brewing Company here in Michigan. That brewery produced beers under the MBC name and was probably in the top 5 here in the state. But they also owned the Celis brand name, and that name was purchased at the MBC bankruptcy auction by Celis family members. The last I read, the name was resurrected and the beers were being brewed again in Texas.

The Celis brands (contrary to those early reports) wound up owned by importer Total Beverage Solutions and is brewed for them by Two Road Brewing Co., in CT.

The new Celis family-owned brewery in TX (if built) is now going to be called Flemish Fox and seems to be a joint venture of sort with another MI brewer, Atwater.
