Carton Brewing (March 2016)

thanks for the input! It was the only Carton available in NYC for the last two weeks, and I got the last one!

 

Well a label for it was floating around a bit ago. Maybe they do what they did with Hop Pun and can it after its cycle is done. Cans came out for that not long before Red Rye replaced it in rotation

 

Surprised theres no post about the new Dub variant in cans available at the brewery today. Warrior variant, sorry the numbers escape me right now

 

Didn't know about it.
Hope they still have it on Saturday.
What other cans did they have?

 

Cans available: Boat, SDS, Cosmonaut and 07302 (Warrior)

 

FWIW Carton has not done a can release that hasn't lasted 1 full weekend in a while

 

It's almost like the olden days where you can show up at your leisure and buy beer without waiting in line for 6 hours.

 

Just drank my growler from last Sunday...tastes amazing. Well done @augiecarton

 

Even though it wasnt listed on their FB page, there were also regular ODub cans downstairs when I was there last night too.

 

All the more reason Carton is the best brewery (operationally, tap room, and beer quality) in the Mid-Atlantic IMO

 

I knew I should have stopped by Carton right before hitting up a bottle share. I had seen that they had Boat and the variants but was already almost there.

But goes to prove the point of the mysterious "edited post". My best advice: Check the FB posts everyday even if they are dated to a day or two earlier.

Anyone else get the new canned dubviant? Thoughts? I had the first one and while it was good, it didn't quite pop like the recent canned five-o.

 

5-0 is hard to top. I had it a can... it was "okay" for a Dub, which still means it was pretty damn good.

Regular Coffee, probably their biggest can release in terms of hype and appeal, was available for two full weekends I believe. Irregular cans lasted about the same. Shipwreck was on the shelf for a few months. If you wanted either and put forth any effort you got your beer.

They release things silently which helps prevent a total shit show. I love Other Half, but those can releases can be rough. Awesome beer, but waiting on line for hours isn't my thing.

 

I was really hoping this would happen. Easily my favorite dubviant.
