Just picked up a six pack of the new Karl Strauss Aurora Hoppyalis that I have been hearing lots of great things about. It is fantastic, east coast meets west coast styled IPA and the first KS beer I actually have been looking forward to ! It won bronze in the IPA category at GABF last year, pretty impressive considering the shear amount of entrants in that category.

    Cheers……..

I've passed on Pliny the last 20 times I've come across it, but I thought it would be worth trying again at 4 days old.

Anyone else check out the BA Fat Hog release at Ritual? Just grabbed a couple of bottles and tried it on tap. I'm incredibly impressed - really loved it.

I pass on PtE 99% of the time these days, unless like you I see that its only a couple days young, then I am reminded what a truly legendary beer it is.

    Cheers…..

There's nothing wrong with 2 week old Pliny. 3 weeks is stretching it. I'd have to drink it same day of purchase. But this one I got from mr kegs this week is the freshest yet. Drank Thrillseeker (same day as Pliny) right after and I'd give Thrillseeker the win over Pliny this time. What a great batch.....for both.
