Event was pretty meh. Endless pizza was just "a'ight"

Apparently yeah, part owned by a Shelton brother, so this and two other spots in the Valley will be getting a steady supply of Jester King bottles.

Simple means & Ru55 on tap. Along with the Bruery Colab Imperial Cabinet as a surprise tap. Colour5 was the highlight.

Does anybody know if any of these will still be on tap tomorrow?

They're one of the only few places in town to have Jester King stuff, so more than likely.

I was also there and agree with all of this. I got there early, so sitting there for about 45 minutes was brutal. The lukewarm beer was also brutal.

Are the Sheltons known for stuff like this? The bottles were definitely overpriced but my love of JK sorta took over there.

Lime Ventures I believe distributes this beer in California, give them a ring if you are retailer or know a CA retailer.

Gotta say the event in San Pedro back in 2014 was excellent and that was Shelton bros. On the other hand, i picked up discounted tickets for that and it wouldn't have been as good if it was $20 more. But going to Reseda for a one trick pony, well, that's your first two mistakes.

The staggered bottle opening was lame, and at those prices, I just left before the bottle sales.

Lol, I actually said something to the people I was with that was along the lines of, "If you walked in now, you'd probably just assume the event has started." It is absurd that it happened.

the whole VIP press/home brewer time was so surreal. It was unlimited pours of the stuff they had and didn't have any sort of staggering pours behind it.

I'm coming up short at thinking of another event like this small scale that took its time to get media buzz enough to fluff home brewing clubs and other press at the cost of the time for those who paid for it. Worst of all, that the folks who paid get stuck with room temp beers because of how bad they rushed it.

Wow terrible service, now I don't feel bad that I didn't go.

Ridiculous prices. I remember when they shelf-turded around here for much less.

As for Shelton Bros events, I've been to the one they did at Beachwood (Cantillon and Hill Farmstead). It went real smoothly considering the hoards that came out for it.
