I was really impressed with the grapefruit. It was pretty damn good. I am onboard with the Rebel series. Its actually brought me back to SA a little bit.

What size was the pack; a 12-pack?

    Cheers!

Yes. 12 pack. I'm assuming 3 of each. Didn't catch the price though. Probably around $15

If I see this, it will be the the first SA pack I have bought in a long time. Also, I like the packaging, and I usually hate their packaging.

12 pack of all Rebel variety IPA's to try? Sounds good. I will keep an eye out. Still need to try the Grapefruit one.

Grapefruit is some good stuff. I think I prefer it more than sculpin, the price is also a whole lot better too!

I tend to agree with you, especially when you factor in cost. I had it on draft several weeks ago and was thoroughly surprised at how good the SA Grapefruit Rebel was. Looking forward to trying Cascade if I see it around here.

On a side note, I got to try the Nitro IPA last week. Love the concept, but wasn't the biggest fan of the beer. Not awful, but not great either. Will still give Nitro Coffee Stout a try if I see it.

The stigma of commonality makes this beer rated less. I thought the original rebel was a very good solid beer. If it was released from a smaller producer it likely would have grown some hype and acclaim.

We cant let biases get in the way of good beer. I think this new hoppy series is just fine. The only thing bad about it is getting the freshest bottles and cans.

Found the Pack of Rebels and it was priced the same as the other SA 12 packs, so $14. I enjoy the other three already, and Cascade is a nice addition to them, more so than Rebel Rider. Oddly though, it's not carried by all the stores who get the seasonal and season variety packs. Also, be on the look out for the freshest available. At my local store there was a stack with best by May and then another stack with June.

This was the worst of the bunch imo. Tasted like it had been sitting on a warm shelf for six months rather than in a cooler for one. Grapefruit was a pleasant surprise though.

Grapefruit Rebel in cans is really good, the Rouser in cans was good, and the regular Rebel in cans was pretty decent.

Now, I love me a malty IPA (and non-malty IPAs), but the Cascade was one of those times that the malt body detracted from the beer. Sad because everything else was on point from the aroma to the hop portion of the flavor profile.

Been drinking this mix 12pc for several weeks now here in Va. Cascade is very good as are the others especially the grapefruit. Great value and love the cans.

I will give any grapefruit IPA a try. I was rather disappointed with the SA Rebel IPA though. I guess with the 'rebel' name and loud packaging, I expected more. It tasted more like 'IPA Lite' to me.

Fairly bummed after buying and sampling the 12pk, all were heavy malt+bitter, not much differentiation at all. I guess the grapefruit was "the best" none were worth re-buying. SA never ceases to amaze on their ability to release adequate but ho-hum beers, yet grow and grow and grow in sales.

Recently brewed a batch of Sam Adams lager out of a clone recipe book. I like it. Also, SA lager is a nice lager.
