A case or two maybe. I think loading up an SUV with enough beer to satisfy an entire city is a bit much though. That's just one guy's opinion

I kind of assumed they were going to fill a bathtub with all that beer...The two of them, sitting across from each other, wearing pretzel necklaces, snifters in hand, dunking their glasses in their giant beer bath whenever they were empty. I think its called the neckbeard and chill

Nice! Maybe a few lavender scented candles and the sweet sound of Kenny G in the background while they gently exfoliate each other with loofah sponges and oatmeal body wash

Sorry, I was directing that question to @kodt specifically, mostly because he called out the brewery for marketing itself.

In the tweet, there are 8 people standing around the wall of beer. None of them look like they work there, and the two from the picture here are in the tweeted pic. So, is 3 cases per person too much then?

Yeah I guess we don't know the whole story. If this was just 8 friends who put the beer together for one picture to rustle some jimmy's or show off that is one thing. But if all this beer is going to the same place, that is another.

I do know guys who get their 10 friends to bring over their full BCBS haul over and combine them into one picture just to troll people online and make them thing they somehow scored multiple full cases of Rare or Prop.

edit: to answer your question. However much it would be reasonable for one person to drink.

It's gonna be a bit tricky fitting all 8 of them in that bathtub :grimacing:

It sounds like this release went pretty well actually...no horror stories seem to have come out. I know it may seem crazy that you had to be there within an hour or so after they opened to get some of the beer, but that's how it goes nowadays.

One mug club member bought all 24 cases for his friends that were not mug club members, they had to wait in the secondary line. They were probably worried about being shut out. Here is a better picture with the entire group.

As for the right amount, 2 - 5 cases seems reasonable. It really depends how thirsty you are.

My advice is get out of bed and get there early. That will help avoid the frustration of the potential shut-out.

I went to the release and thought it went very well. As long as you were there a bit early, you got everything you wanted. What more can you expect of a brewery? By the way, everyone I spoke to who got 5 or more cases were getting them for multiple people who couldn't make it to the release.

I've broken a LOT of stuff in my short existence on Earth, but I can honestly say this morning I had a first. Picked up my case before work last night, and the damn thing broke on me walking in the door this morning. Luckily only one bottle was lost. If all of you in the community could give this fallen comrade a moment of silence, I'm sure the dude would appreciate it ...

On a happier note, my Big Lebowski themed beer collection seems to be growing.

And in case any of you were wondering - None of that broken bottle was salvageable (yeah... I tried lol).

Still haven't tried it; but for any Ann Arbor BA's, Lucky's Market had a good dozen bottles out on the shelf, picked up one to drink and one to save earlier this evening, as well as a couple BA Scotty Karate bottles ($40 total, not bad all considered). Wine Castle should get both in tomorrow. Very happy to find ONE as I'd missed out on its 3-hour shelf-life at the place I normally go, where it arrived at 1pm and was sold out well before people with jobs could get to the liquor store...
