OK, I just finished mowing the lawn, and parked the mower in the garage. Went back in a few minutes to get a beer from the beer fridge and when I opened the door I was hit right in the olfactories with a massive "blast of grass"!

This got me to thinking. Is there a beer out there that can give me the same "freshly mowed lawn" experience in a glass?

So, does anyone know of a beer that fits this flavor/aroma profile? Thanks!

Haven't had it in years, but I used to find that DFH 60-Minute had a real grassy aroma.

Something like a westy blonde perhaps? Add some hallertau or styrian goldings for a bit of that aroma semblance??? Just a thought

Mosaic hops, particularly if a beer is dry-hopped with Mosaic, can lend (to me) a beer "grassy" notes. Not sure, though, what Mosaic-focused beers are available to you there in Tennessee.

I get these notes from Founders All Day IPA. Had it super fresh on tap and it was like a big ole glass of lawn clippings to me.

Most Other Half IPAs have a really grassy blast of taste when fresh.

Sure . . . just pour a cold one and sit out on the deck while the yard guys do their thing. Very refreshing, contemplative experience and the brand really doesn't matter much.

    for me, it's certain saisons.

in terms of post lawn-cutting beers almost anything will work. it's about that time to start cutting here.

Just finished mowing and had a Saint Arnold's Art Car IPA.

Mighty tasty post-mowing beer and glad to say it didn't taste or smell like freshly mowed grass.

Mowed over some wild onions. That smell reminds me of Oskar Blues Gubna.

Look for beers with Noble hop varieties. I think pilsners may be your best bet for what you're looking for.
