Yeah, I know that story. I was just wondering about the CW story.

So if ONE youngster can do the jobs previously held by "3 or 4 people", I guess it's a good thing that they got rid of all of those unnecessary workers.

Not a personal jab, I don't know the guy. Someone loses/leaves two jobs in quick succession, seems like a red flag about that person. Though not always the case.

Wow, $35 for 750s of Tilquin :grimacing: They are $25 when they show up here in NYC. That's the first time I think I've heard of stuff actually being cheaper in NYC. I agree, pours would be great. Are they expected to show up on draft though? We don't see kegs that often here in NYC. If kegs pop up around town I'll have to be on the lookout next time I'm home.

Sure hope CW hires a buyer that had Randy's attention to detail. Shelves well stocked with craft bottles/cans can be fun to peruse even if you don't end up buying anything.

Picked up a boulevard imperial stout with coconut and manor hill 6pk ipa canned 3/7 At Calvert Woodley. They don't have a "beer guy" now that Randy is gone.

Regular Tilquin 750s are like $20-$23 here, the Quetsche is $30-35. Those are much better beers than the Cascades, in my opinion. I buy the 375s of regular Tilquin every time I see them, and I think the Quetsche is worth the money, but only rarely will I spring for it.

Well, if any bottle shops are reading this thread, if you hire Randy, I will make a point to visit your store before going to others. It's simply a better use of my time than driving around.

Anyone know where to find cans of Manor Hill Grisette in DC? I've seen it on draft, but nothing packaged.

Schneider's had them at one point, but I think they're gone now. Maybe worth a call over there though?

I've seen it at Calvert Woodley, WF P Street, and I believe WF Arlington, but you might need to call the latter to check.

Not unnecessary - the stores which were already losing out to better business models are now drowning in undermanagement too. Just because younger hires are being forced to do more, doesn't mean they are able to, and it doesn't mean they're doing it well. That said, I'm sure ordering good beer for WF isn't rocket science, as it's mostly just paperwork in a corporate store that big.

Same price as all of Hardywood's other BA beers. I actually feel like Hardywood's bomber pricing is better than most.

Perfect Pour usually/always has bottles of Monocacy. They're at the far left corner of the back wall of beer.
