El Toro Bravo ! I love the market, try picking up the marinated carne asada for your next bbq, but there is nothing like their taco's de lengua and the killer burritos.

    Cheers….

I think we all have our favorite places to eat. Wether it be mexican, italian, japanese, etc. Just like beer. I find a good place and I will stick with it. Maybe occasionally trying a new place. Why fix it if it ain't broke.
And yes like what @whiskey said. Sooooo close to home I could walk to the new location and stumble back home. Or call the misses to pick me up. Or maybe Julian will let me crash there in the cooler for the night. Oh, don't forget about In & Out, the Habit and Matsu's 2 minutes away from BWHB.

Edit: one more thing I need to add. The 3 brewers ( Derek-head brewer, Harrison and Jim) from Beach City will be missed. I enjoyed meeting up with the 3 amigos once a week for bottle sharing at BCB. I still hang out with these guys. They each have moved on to bigger and better brewery's. Harrison at Beachwood/Blendery, Jim's at Barley Forge and Derek will be at Gunwhale Artisian Ales (soon to be open next to Barley Forge). It was unfortunate that BCB closed so soon. But goodness will be coming out from this location soon. Brew on guys.......!

I love the machaca at romans. I haven't had a breakfast sandwich from Franks in a long time. Might have make it over there soon. Did have a cheese steak there last week. Damn fine sandwich

Heck yes! We grab their carne asada all the time! There's a little meat market down the road a bit on 19th/Monrovia that has some pretty killer carne asada, too.

DCgun is right. Those guys at BCB were very cool guys. Their beers were constantly improving. Wish all the best to those guys.

San Francisco has the best burritos (and I'm not prone to saying anything nice about that place). L.A. has better Mexican food as a whole. San Diego is also in California.

Let's talk burgers....I'm in Chicago right now (heading back to SNA tomorrow). There's a place called Kuma's Corner. I think I found the best burger.....ever? Black Sabbath, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Slayer, etc. And to top it off Zombie Dust on tap. Did I say fresh.......ZD? Okay, it's not LA or OC. Or burritos. But you got me thinking about food. Sorry guys.

Where in Chicago are you? You need to get yourself an italian beef sandwich if you have a car and have a little bit of time to roam around.

@grilledsquid no time bro. It's late, no car, I'm out in the Elk Grove area and it's windy/rain as fuk right now. Plus I was here for work/training. I did all my beer runs on Monday when I got in. Bringing back a bunch of bottles/cans. Half Acre, Pipeworks, Revolution, and a new brewery called Mikerphone. They released their 30th bottle on Saturday called Special Sauce. It's a juicy DIPA hop bomb (east coast style) coming in at 8.7. I was able to grab 3 bottles. Bringing 2 back with me. Drinking the 3rd right now. This is some good shite! I will say this is almost as good as the very first time I had OH Green Diamond in Manhanttan back in the summer of 2014. Yes....unfiltered. Just like what's coming out of the east coast. Look for these guys.
I might be coming back out again in mid April or May. So I will def check out the Italian place. Thanks for the tip.
One more thing....the view outside my hotel room? Fuking Buttwipper. lol.

It's all good. I still like our west coast better. But it's always nice to try others that we don't get in SoCal.

Swing and a miss. I live in L.A. but am not from here, and root for Minnesota sports teams. Which, come to think of it, means that you may not have have swung and missed after all.
