You should let Founders know about this. Might not change anything, but I can't imagine that they're happy with these kinds of shenanigans.

Don't age it, drink it fresh. Last year I did a vertical, it was not even close, fresh won easily.

Thanks all for the input - sounds like fresh is the way to go, although I might keep 1-2 bottles around if I am able to get more than a couple bottles.

My local shop already has it in stock. $27.99 for a 4 pack. I think I'd rather buy 2 bottles of Parabola.

Not one that I chase, but certainly nothing I'm passing up either. it was sitting on the shelf today at my local spot, so I picked up a 4 pack. Looking forward to doing a side-by-side tomorrow night with the Parabajava I picked up in Paso Robles last week..

Curious about where the Norcal folks are finding it, and price point? TIA

Bought it two weeks ago in NorCal. No limit. So good!

I've got a friend in the tri-city area that told me he talked down a local shop owner to $10 a bottle from $20. Twenty dollars. For a bottle of KBS.

Agreed. I've been doing verticals since 2012. Fresh always wins out among tasters over anything aged 1-4 years. I think it's even better on tap, if you can get it.

I picked some up here in Northern California last week and shared a bottle for Easter. It is outstanding! And for six dollars a bottle it's a great value!

Check a local Bevmo. Some have them, some don't. Where are you located?

San Jose. I'm guessing it's not here. Might head up the peninsula to look for it.

I could see giving someone a discount if they bought another release with it but MAKING someone buy something else seems unethical.

In response to the nor cal questions, I found it in sac (roseville to be exact). Looking around facebook groups it appears to be all over the place at bevmos in large quantities.

We've been getting inundated with founders ever since they released here late last year, it's taking up a whole shelf everywhere, so I'm not too surprised. Guessing they sent us extra this year to try and gain some fans for the rest of the year.

I remember whole foods got 10+ cases of backwoods too so I would guess they will get some as well.

Man I probably would too if I could find 2 Parabolas, and they were only $14 each!

I agree so far. Haven't had this year's bottles but a few months doesn't hurt. A few years and it's good but it's not the same beer. I feel like it's like brownie or chocolate cake batter.

I haven't had this year's bottle yet, but to me last year on tap was way too heavy on the coffee and the bottle was a perfect balance. This year's on tap is a bit too bourbon forward for my liking, but I'm betting (okay, hoping) the bottle will be perfect!
