Inevitable, especially for Beer Advocates. The "B" in BA can really be substituted with burrito, burgers, breakfast, boobies, etc.

Hmm. Not the first time I've been disagreed with.

I like how he sums up the (one-sided) SF-LA rivalry: "...they think of LA as the place where civilization has crawled to die, and we think of San Francisco as a place to spend a weekend." So true.

 

one sided is right.. people from SF spend a lot of time and energy talking about how they "hate" LA. people from LA don't really think about SF much, but like it and enjoy visiting

 

San Francisco thinks they still have a ton of culture whereas in reality, that has faded into kitschy nostalgia and been replaced by the culture-less tech boom. That being said, I still enjoy going up to hang out with friends and spending time in the parts of the city/area that I enjoy. It just isn't the jewel that everybody up there thinks it is.

 

Except when it comes to the Giants/Dodgers.
