Went around to all the West LA whole foods looking for KBS. No luck but found bomb!, BCBS, Backwood Bastard, Abyss, Tweak so wasn't a complete loss I guess.

Scored Booming rollers(3/21) for $6.99 at TW HB. Said it marked down by error and listed at 6.99, rang up $9.99 and honored the lower. YMMV

Booming Rollers price drop at the Brea Total Wine checks out. Advertised and rings up @ $6.99 4/pk.

Nice, which had Backwoods Bastard and BCBS? KBS should start showing up here soon.

Total Wine isn't exactly known for stocking its shelves with the freshest stuff around. These are probably fresher than 90% of the other hoppy beers sitting beside it.

When I put "(3/21)", I meant canned date not the date I picked these up. Just to clear up details on my post.

Their cooler is nice, but they need more cooler space. Triple the size.

Seems like the TW employees pilfer all the top releases.

KBS should be released today from our local shops, I believe. Hacienda has already posted that they will.

Called WFLB. They said they received KBS on Weds. and of course it sold out in minutes.
Question: 2016 KBS release I thought was this weekend at the brewery. At least thats what I thought I read while in Chicago? So when is the official release for 2016 KBS here in the LA/OC area? This week?
Total Wine said they offered to some kinda members only first, but if they don't pick there's up by next week then it will be released to the public. What the hell is that all about? I'm NOT going to line up for it.

EDIT: So it was last month for the brewery release on KBS. So I guess that means it's just now hitting the SoCal area. My bad.

TW has a club card with different tiers based on spending. No surprise that they have started offering limited releases to the members.

So what's next, Parabola will be offered to those top tier members first?

It doesn't cost anything, but they keep track of your spending. To move up tiers you have to spend X amount. Higher tiers have some kind of benefits (don't remember what) that may include first access to limited releases.
