Posers. No akvavit barrels, no schelvispekel barrels, and no oghi barrels.

 

People coming in my store asking for KBS today....I asked them if they would like a whole case and watched their eyes light up. Pretty damn (sick) funny.

 

Not sure if 21st Amendment is joking or not....I hope they are!

Definitely a joke The last paragraph of the article reads: "Be on the lookout for new beers with grapefruit from the 21st Amendment later this year including “Not Your Mother’s Grapefruit” soda, a barrel-aged grapefruit stout where the barrel is made of grapefruit skins and their “Pumpkin Grapefruit” beer which will be released in June."

I thought about it, if used with some 'Orleans Method late Harvest Savignon Blanc' vinegar. Link below.... And maybe just a touch of Pink Himalayan Seasalt... I wonder if done right, it the hops, seasalt and that style of vinegar (think Nelson hops) could possibly compliment each other. I'd try it!

Anyone remember Crazy Ed's Cave Creek Chili Beer? That was one that SHOULD have been an April Fool's prank. I had to take two sips before the drain pour... the second because I could not believe how bad the first one was. I still remember a couple of lines from the best review of it... "If you have a stomach ulcer, you should not drink this beer. If you do NOT have a stomach ulcer, you should not drink this beer."

 

I thought KBS hitting my area was an April Fool's prank, because it's too good to be true.
