1 Wells Banana Bread Beer 4 pack
    1 Mikkeller Monk's Brew 330ml
    1 Arrogant Bastard Ale 22oz
1 Brew Rebellion Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Cereal Milk Stout 22oz

I bought this order mostly to give the Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Cereal Milk Stout another review to add the total of reviews to 2 on this fine website. But in general, I will try to never order beer online again... The shipping price of over $40 hurts my wallet!

40$ to ship 7 beers? :grimacing:

I think you would of been better off trying to trade for a bottle of it instead of wasting money of beers you can find on most store shelves.

I did try to trade some brews for it on this site. But the guy who I asked told me I wasn't offering enough at a 4 for 1 deal. Where I'm from I haven't bumped into it and I searched all over Connecticut and Massachusetts for a while for the Imperial Stout Trooper with no luck so I have given up to search for anyone particular beer.

Go to a nice retail store near you and wander around and pick some beers. Save the $40.

I used to order offline pretty often, but the shipping charges are what slowed me down. There's some great beer available from time to time on some sites, but you'll end up paying twice as much in the end. Usually not worth it IMO.

Save your money and go to your local bottle shop and spend the $40 on some awesome beers. Shipping costs sucks usually.........

And once you have spent oodles for beer you thought you could not live without you will notice two things. One, that beer suddenly appears at the supermarket for a lot cheaper than you paid for it, and two, you'll notice that even the best and most expensive beer has some kind of doppleganger out there in cheaper land that is just as good and quite possibly is a local or regional beer for you.

I have four thoughts for you. OEC. New England Brewing Company. Kent Falls. Two Roads. When you have finished trying all the beers from these great Connecticut breweries I recommend that will be the time to think about ordering online or trading. Chances are, though, at that point you will realize Connecticut has as good or better beer than any you can order or trade for and you won't bother.

Well said, and I personally would add Beer'd and Steady Habit to that list of CT beers to try. Cheers!

Would it make you sad to know the grocery store a 2 miles from me has Arrogant Bastard & Wells Banana Bread?

Three out of four of those beahs - I have seen recently in RI bottle shops. The only one I have not spotted is the fruit loops one.

Question...what does it cost to ship someone a box in a trade or kharma? Maybe that would help frame whether the forty bucks for four bottles is outrageous.

I agree that $40 is a lot for shipping, I buy a lot of beer on-line, and that seems a little steep. As far as your order goes, order whatever you like, I've never had Brew Rebellion Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Cereal Milk Stout ...sounds interesting

If a 5.67% beer rated 3.87 is worth over $40 to you, then it's a good order. If not, then no.

I weill have to be honest and say that I now buy most of my craft beer from my local Kroger supermarket. They have thr best selection I have ever seen in a supermarket and they have a bar with 10 craft rotating taps....
