Anybody got a date for Parabola getting into Nova? Brewery says release is tomorrow, but all the news I see around the boards is about KBS (which apparently isn't hitting Arlington til around Tuesday).

Probably not until mid May if I had to guess. Sucaba released in mid January, we got it early March so I'd expect about the same for Parabola.

Whole Foods FairLakes has it on tap in the sports bar. I'm unsure about bottles.

I apologize in advance for this request.

I've be unable to acquire even a single bottle of Hardywood stout of any flavor to see if I like it.

If anyone reading this thread would like to swap that for Jackie O's, send me a BM please.

Think the consensus is KBS will probably be available Monday-Tuesday. The couple places I frequent are limiting it to one bottle so don't think I'll be trying to waste my time for a single bottle.

Yeah, I have no interest in that at all. Founders needs to reconsider their packaging, because none of these stores seem to recognize the 4-pack concept anymore.

I managed to get one four pack locally last year. I also had relatives snag me four packs last week in another market. So the four pack is alive and well in some places. If reconsidering the packaging means a sharp price increase like BCBS, I'm against that!

Are stores breaking the four pack apart to make more money? To get more people into their shops? Or simply because they love their customers so much and truly want to share the joy with as many people as possible?

Probably a mix of the first and third reasons you name. I think it's mostly that they know people will be calling and coming in all day looking for it, and from their position it's better to give bad news (i.e. that it's sold out) to fewer people.

I dont necessarily mind the bottle limit but when youre charging 10 dollars for that bottle, you dont give a shit about your customers.

$10 a bottle is nuts. Grocery stores seem to get a fair amount of KBS, especially Whole Foods, and they tend to charge more reasonable amounts.
