Went to Skokie Binnys. Rolled in around 9:05 on break from work, also pick up a Perennial 17. No wait, no chaos, limit 1 four pack. They were sold out by 9:20 though. Looking forward to having one.

It seems KBS supply (via distro to IL anyway) is much higher this year than in prior years. Similar thing happened to Backwoods Bastard a year or so ago it seems. Cheers to Founders for increasing KBS supply to IL this year.

Plainfield Binny's has 4pks for $22.99 for the first 70 people or so. My local shop in Oswego was charging $5.99/bottle - so all good on pricing. There was one store that had them for $7.99/bottle and I passed, while others were buying just because they still had some at 3pm.
BTW: 2015 is amazing right now, 2016 is pretty damn good, but 2014 is starting to fade a bit - not much coffee or chocolate.

Opened a bottle last night and really enjoyed it. For someone like myself who doesn't eat chocolate, sweets or dessert, it had plenty of chocolate taste in it. Coffee was definitely noticeable and forward. As for heat/booziness, I liked the amount. I've always preferred KBS on the fresher side because of that so called heat. I certainly don't think it was overpowering (nothing like the heat I got from a 'fresh' Rare '15 or some of the fresh Pipeworks BA stuff that came out at the end of '15).

Glad I picked up the 2 4-packs. I'll probably end up drinking them all within the next few months because I do prefer to have that 'heat' component on KBS.

Are you talking about the one in Milwaukee and North Ave? I hope there's still some when I get off work

Jewel on North and Broadway, just got some and the guy said no limits. But it's in the back room.

Unless you're getting off work within the next hour or so, I wouldn't plan on it. They are allowing 2 4 packs per person, so I'd expect it to be gone quickly. But, maybe I'll be proven wrong and you'll get lucky.

If I were you, I'd get in touch with some Jewel stores nearby to see if they have any. It seems as though some of them got a decent amount. Besides that, various Whole Foods will be getting it in over the next week, so you should be able to grab some.

Just drove by Walgreens (10 minutes to 10am), and about 20 or so in line.

My buddy went to this - sounds like it went very well. He said you could keep getting in line, and there were only 30 people in line at opening and they had about 25 cases. I could have gone, as my plans freed up this morning, but I have a decent amount already and will probably get some more at WF.

The one in Greek town had it last year and was selling 4 packs.

I gotta assume they'll have it again.

Pretty crowded. I got there right at 1 and there was easily 50+ there - figured I wouldn't get any, but might as well try. They didn't tell the back of the line that they ticketed the release of the 4 packs, so quite a few shut out after waiting a good 40 mins when they could have told them from the jump.

Limit was 1 4 pack per. Getting some on tap was a nice consolation though - first taste for me of this year's and I definitely enjoyed it.

Anybody go to the Binny's Evergreen Park afternoon release yesterday? If so, what was the list for/from? Apparently if you were on it, you didn't get any. IDs were required.

I thought it was pretty disorganized - they had an awful setup. I don't know why it was being done at the upstairs bar. I know they've done other releases downstairs at the front bar before and had it move very smoothly - maybe they didn't want to have that so crowded considering the normal weekend shoppers were there.

If it weren't for getting a glass on draft, it would have been even more frustrating - at least I got my grocery shopping done afterwards. I had a bottle at home last night and a draft today, and they were pretty similar...no noticeable differences. I have to say at this point I like 2015 is/was better (I'm turning into one of those people!).
