I'm pretty sure they should all get it, at least all the ones I have talked to. As I mentioned before, they all seem to have different release dates next week based on their shipments - your best bet is to call/visit your local WF and ask.

Agreed, I think if I hadn't gotten a couple 4 packs last night and didn't get one on draft at least I'd be a bit more fired up for standing there for so long.

Regarding other Whole Foods, I asked the Lakeview one on Ashland, and they mentioned next week. So it does sound like most others will be getting some sort of shipment.

People who went to the 9 am release probably, they said if you went at 9am, you could not buy again at 5:30 pm.

Got 4 bottles at Naperville Stand Market at $5.99/bottle at noon today. Somehow, they were giving away 2015 bottles because I got a 2015 bottle along with 3 2016 bottles. 2015 bottle aged very well! I thought 2016 KBS was solid so aging KBS is definitely the way to go.

    Wasn't there a 2 bottle limit?

Indeed. My sister, my dad, and I arrived there at around 11:15 am. The server gave a raffle ticket to each of us, but they didn't want any of bottles so I used 2 tickets to gather 4 bottles and gave the 3rd raffle ticket to someone else. I hope I made his day brilliant.

Founders rep said all bottle prices should be between 6 and 7 bucks. So if you see any stores marking up, write Founders and they will lower or cut allocation next year to stores charging more than that.

I got it for slightly less - can they up that place's allocation next year?!?

Haha. Nice. It seems the places I went this year did get more than last year.

Hmm, this is annoying. The Founders website lists this event as being at 6pm. I wouldn't be able to get there until about 5, so 6 sounded perfect. Not sure if it'd be worth showing up at 5 if it actually starts at 4. Founders website description below:

KBS RELEASE AT CLARK STREET ALE HOUSE
    • Apr 6, 2016
    • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
    • Chicago, IL

KBS season is here! Clark Street Ale House will be raiding the cellar and holding nothing back! We will have 4 years of KBS for your drinking pleasure, 2015 Backwoods Bastard, 2016 Mango Magnifico, Dark Penance, Nitro Rubeaus, and Mosiac Promise. Get there early and try them all.

I noticed the same thing on Founders' website. I'd trust the bar's information, as they are running it. Founders had some wrong information about the Whole Foods KBS release from last Saturday as well, but the store had the right information.

I think you'll be fine to get there at 5 and still have something - that was kind of my plan as well, depending on my work schedule.

Yeah, you're probably right. And it's enough on my way home that I think I'll at least pop in and see what it looks like. If it's too busy, no big deal. Thanks for the reply. And Go Green!

This guy knows whats up. 1yr on them is amazing. After that I actually don't know because I haven't had one older than a year or so. But grabbing a good amount of bottles to spread through the year and a couple to compare with next years is not that crazy to me.
