Anyone care to calculate the rough spend at Total Wine to reach top tier. If not, I'll do it when I get to a desktop.

I did the math Friday. You need 25,000 points per year to be in the top tier. 1 dollar is 10 points, unless you're buying "winery direct" or "spirit direct" items, then its 15 points per dollar on those. So, its $2,500 spent in a year. Over 200 dollars per month, or 166 a month on "winery/spirit direct" items.

If you don't mind my asking, how long did it take to accumulate that much?

It's somewhere between $1667 and $2500 depending on how you spend money. Points are 10/dollar on most purchases but some give 15/dollar.

Since November 2015. 5 months. It helped that I bought booze for a lot of friends for Christmas gifts.

I'll add this here instead of the Parabola thread, but WF Torrance has it in. 2 bottle limit and you have to ask for it.

Tried to pick up KBS at Total Wine in Thousand Oaks. Guy said he thought they just sold out, but by the pause, it kinda made me think he just didn't want to sell it to me. Or maybe I'm paranoid.

The Total Wine KBS limit or only selling to "top tier" members is a bit ridiculous. It happened to me earlier, but at least I was able to get one bottle.

Agreed but it's not all bad news. There's still a ton of KBS around the area. I've spent most of the past few years in Founders distro and this is by far the easiest I've ever obtained KBS. When I was in MN it was standard for a 1 bottle limit at all shops. Without much trying at all in OC I've picked up a case.

Pretty sure tw brea employees hold bottles for themselves and friends. Been there a couple times for stuff showing in stock and nobody seemed to be able to find it or new why they would show 5-10 bottles in stock but it's not there. Doubt they have that bad of a theft problem

Not sure about the accuracy of BevMo's system, but it reports 4 4-packs in stock at the Orange location if anyone feels like checking. Already grabbed mine from TW last week so hopefully this helps someone still looking.
