Especially since FW didn't invite them to FWIBF yet again.

Just got back from a soft open event.

Space is pretty huge considering it's in LA proper, and they even have a brewery store across from the restaurant. Place looks like they invested quite a bit of money. That being said, the decor is consistent with what you see in Paso and Buellton. My first impression is that it's going to be a very popular destination for the neighborhood.

Menu is a slightly scaled back version of the existing locations...shared apps, tacos, pizzas, burger, and a handful of entrees. Food was all pretty good, especially considering it was a soft open. Don't remember off-hand how many taps but it does seem like there will be at most four taps reserved for wild ales, and a cask engine. All the core beers were available. Bretta Weisse was the only available Barrelworks beer, and Parabola was also on tap.

Stayed too late to get a chance to go through the brewery store, so can't report on what's available and didn't get a tour of the facility.

The store had agrestic, feral one and another sour, but no Bretta Rose (that preview one from right after the sale of Peachy Bones)

The store was pretty swanky. had that nice fresh brand new smell to it. Much like Paso, it has a walk in fridge, but at the moment they're basically telling you to pick the beers and they'll go in for you (thinking just cause it's liability right now?)

I did like that they had a vast amount of parking. Though I can see this being a very popular destination.

They also had 2016 Sucaba and Parabola, 2015 Velvet, XIX, and stickee Monkee. Oh yeah, and Parabajava - limit 1, though limit zero for black rider.

Can you just walk in at this point, or is the soft open invite only? I work close by and would love to swing by and pick up a bottle of Parabajava.

Yeah... You shouldn't even try... Street closures in Bel-Air and LAX are really going to screw things up near HPB...:grinning:
