Took an early lunch and scored a 4pk from Bottles in Mt.P. They had 5 cases BEHIND the counter.
I've said this before-If you hype it,they will come...Hope this beer lives up to the hype!

Just picked up a 4-pack at a random hole in the wall Liquor store in Santa Cruz, CA. Plenty more 4-packs just sitting on the shelf.

I'm not sure if it being uber fresh is what makes all the difference, but the one I had last night was damn near a perfect barrel aged beer.

$25 a 4-pack! Wow. Now I feel better about the $21.49 I paid for mine. Still, not a bad price per ounce considering style & reputation. And as others have already mentioned above, this beer is drinking like a champ right now.

Feel bad for the people paying 8-10 dollars for a single bottle. My 24.99 price wasn't something I was going to complain about.

Just picked up a 3rd 4 pack for a family gathering in Napa in June. They will be a pleasant night cap after a day of wine tasting.

Founders loves California and we love them back.

I don't know how all you guys are getting 4pks (let alone multiple), but I went to 4 places today and only came out with six bottles total. The single bottle limit drives me crazy when I can see six cases sitting behind a counter.

I got my hands on 4 bottles this year. Drank one and am thinking about aging a bottle or two. Has anyone else tried an aged KBS?

Have you read this thread? I know it's a big one with lots of stuff to wade through, but it's been talked about multiple times just on the past few pages. There is also a thread dedicated to KBS in the Cellaring/Aging Beer section.

Bottom line...most seem to like it fresh, some also like it with age. I'd recommend you drink some short term, have one in 4-6 months and then have another 4-6 months later. The only one that can actually answer the question for your palate is you, though.

This is a great coffee stout fresh, but I age all my bottles to a degree. I have some thst are 3 years old, and it's a phenomenal beer, still lots of coffee, but much smoother and less astringent, lots of barrel too. Age away, I do. Not as much barrel as Bcbcs though. Both great but different.

Managed to find 5 bottles after checking every store in Hamilton county, IN. I don't understand where all the allocation is going. One place I went to told me that another location from their franchise was straight out lying to customers and saying they didn't have any when they really did.

At least here Kbs is always much harder to get than Bcbs for instance. Some places are only getting 1 case so it's by the bottle. Some places get more and it's a 4 pk limit, one of my favorite beers.

Finally hit our area today and I picked up 4 single bottles. The prices were outrageous. I know I could find more over the next few days but I just can't see paying $7-8 per. I'm basically a cheapskate and don't enjoy something if I feel I overpaid for it.

I honestly hope i can find a bottle or two and that's about it, I know TW or ABC mark it up a bit and if a 4 pack is available I will purchase it lol. Really only want a bottle or two.
