Celebrating my first pay day with a trip to Realale.com in Twickenham with the aim of filling my boots with IPA and the like:

Brew by Numbers 55/01 Double IPA (Citra Mosaic Simcoe)
    Wylam Jakehead IPA
    Cloudwater IPA Citra
    Cloudwater Bergamot Hopfen Weisse
    Siren Pompelmocello IPA
Weird Beard Pankot Palace masala chai milk stout
Weird Beard / Kew Brewery A World Without Dave mint chocolate stout
and another Beavertown Skull King while they still had it.

Also drank Kew's A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing saison which was very good, with lunch and then had a pint of Broadside in the pub. Overall a great day for beer. Hope everyone else is doing well too!

I tried the Wylam Jakehead IPA, the BBNo DIPA and the Cloudwater IPA Citra. The Cloudwater is hands down the highlight. Great beer.

    Shimla & Himalayan Monkey
They say imported from India on the front but a West Miss address on back
Making it neither East End or Indian surely?

That Camra hipster thread is so shitty. I hate getting info serious discussions on here. Just chill out and talk about the beer you're drinking.

Tonight I had some Celt Experience Galaxy Equinox IPA and York Brewery Koma pale ale on cask. Both were lovely but the Galaxy Equinox would be my favourite.

Then just a Rothaus Pils with dinner.

I went back and got the Superbad
So I could have a big coffee stout and buy some time to ponder about the Vodoo Down

That fresh coffee isn't going to keep
    But it's a limited edition of 18
What to do, what to do.
Perhaps I've developed an inferiority complex and don't feel worthy of it lol
    Superbad was good stuff tho

I hadn't heard of realale.com before. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm driving out towards Hampshire. It looks solid.

spent the weekend in Liverpool at CAMRA AGM (don't ask), it's been a long time since I was there. Friday out with Tim Webb visiting The Philharmonic and the newly opened Deady Crafty Beer Co. Also visited The Crown Hotel and the excellent Baltic Fleet. Plenty of beer consumed, highlights probably the Liverpool Organic beers and a rather nice Beavertown Neck Oil.

    Podroze Kormorana Witbier
    Joseph Holt Maplemoon
    Hook Norton Hooky
    Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge
    AleBrowar Hard Bride

Witbier would be fantastic in the summer, spicy but not overly and Hard Bride a solid Barley Wine sipper. Been really impressed of the standard of these Polish brews.

Day off - pint of Youngs Bitter last night with a work colleague. Brilliant down by the river side.
Today in the local - Adnams Broadside (really lovely and fruity) and St. Austell Proper Job (good and hoppy). Sitting at home now with a Hepworth Pullman bitter. Decent pale ale but nothing to write home about.

Chatting with Scott from Beermoth about the Vodoo Down
So they waited a year before releasing it
So it isn't fresh and has been aged
    So I'm drinking it
With Magic Rock Dark Arts (not had M.R. In ages)
    Patizan Stout
    & hotdogs

Magic Rock 5th birthday party. Unbelievably good, the beer flowed and the company was top drawer, more brewers in a room than I've seen ever before. And we paid for beer with bottle caps. And we all got a bottle of Unhuman cannonball to take home.

This Vodoo Down is like coffee flavoured Buckfast
Jamie definitely needs to brew more

Nice. I had the chance to stop by the brewery/restaurant a few weeks ago and tried the Trolltunga. I also picked up bottles of the Extra Stout, Far Skyline, Triple, and Yellow Belly to go. All good stuff so far.

Early start to my weekend. I went over to Craft Beer Co in Covent Garden and had halves of Founders Breakfast Stout (keg) and Summer Wine Brewery's Resistance (dark mild, cask). The dark mild was the surprise...absolutely loved it. I can't understand why I don't see this style more often. Such flavorful fruity malt with a long bitter finish.

Just back from 3 days in Copenhagen and 1 day in Malmo, enjoyable trip, but pricey. Had some fantastic beers in some excellent bars, the best were...

Warpigs - youfuckedmeupandimfurious Coffee Stout - 6.6% rich coffee and bourbon flavour,
Brewpub - Coltrane Imperial Stout - 7.5% dark roast malt, coffee and really dark chocolate flavour,
Prairie Artisan - Spaghetti Western Imperial Stout - 8.7%, espresso and cigar flavours,
Brewpub - DIPA - 8.7%, lovely smooth citrus and hoppy flavours,
Brewpub - Vester Weisse - 4.9%, massive banana notes and flavour,
Warpigs - Milk Tooth Milk Stout - 6.4%, creamy with hints of coffee and milk chocolate,
De Dolle - Boskeun 2016 - 10%, sweet caramel, smooth with hints of mild fruits,
Gamma la Cabra - Coffee Porter, 5%, mild coffee flavour with a hint of liquorice.

Liked Warpigs, Mikkeller Bar, Mikkeller & Friends, but actually enjoyed Brewpub and Taphouse more. Particularly enjoyed Taphouse, 61 beers on tap and a fantastic selection, however, we only found it 5 hours before we left :slight_frown: so only managed 5 beers between us.
