    Boat Beer is a great beer but it is not defined as a Kolsch. Yes they use Kolsch yeast but Augie calls it a session ale.

    this is exactly what i was thinking...my guess is it would be somewhat similar in terms of hoppiness. though i did think that was a great summer/beach beer so having that in cans would be nice! and because its not a dipa i think crowds would actually be manageable...

    Not to split hairs, but kolsch is an actual style while session ale is not. You can have a session version of just about anything these days, to the real question is what ale Augie considers it. At least that's how it would seem to me.

    True. But Finback makes a damn good gose (I Feel the Universe {wishing I had cans by the way, hehe}) and I just have to assume OH would want to hop the shit out of it. Haha.

    It's made with their house Kolsch yeast, it's Jesse's (their old head brewer's) recipe. Does that make it a Kolsch? Style wise, traditionally, I don't think so. He considers it a hoppy pale ale. It's boat:slight_smile:

    Boogie Board Stuntz is a favorite at OH, and I would fucking love to see that in cans. I'm almost sure it's coming back at some point, gotta get Chreston from Bunker to come back down soon (wont be hard)

    Because "session ale" is toooooootally a style. It is if nothing else a hybrid Kolsch. No need to split hairs
