Tried something a little different, made me some homemade CBS today. If you don't know, BLIS is the syrup that gets barrel aged, and then used in CBS. So, I just added a little to the BCBCS and have something wonderful...

I just blended 1/3 stone ipa 2/3 sn beer camp 2016 and I think ive found the perfect ipa. Anyone else have any interesting brew combos besides the obvious black and tan? Or even if you know a special black and tan recipe?

I don't blend beer in the traditional manner. What I do is have one beer and then follow it with a different one. It's blended in my tummy.

I tried it a couple of times, (Blended Mangos with an IPA, Manderine to an Enjoy By, blended Bourbon County with Xocoveza) I feel like if it's not created by them (breweries) it's not right...

De Brabandere brewery encourages drinkers to blend their sour beers. They even sell kits for that purpose (http://petrussourbeer.com/en)

I haven't tried it yet, but a lot of people have taken to blending Tree House IPAs. I'm intrigued and will try it soon. Not with a rare release but people say Julius and Green make a great combo

I once blended Black Gold with Black Gold when a buddy decided he couldn't finish his glass.

The Heady Banger (Heady Topper & Focal Banger). Seriously delicious. Dare I say the blend is better than either one of these beers by themselves? Try it for yourself.

Enjoying a Heady Banger just sounds so wrong.

    I'd gladly try one though!

I would happily do it if I could get them regularly- always up for a cool experience and living in the moment. I suspect very few could do such a thing with these beers, though.

If you think that's bad, check out the #BlendThis hashtag on Instagram. We once did a blend of 2014 Hunahpu and 2012 Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock... it was phenomenal, to say the least.

Anything would be better than either of those beers by themselves :grimacing:

Hmmm- I don't think either of them are bad , per se, unless that was just a figure of speech. I truly wish more people would treat these kinds of beers like any other, and bring some madcap revelry to the table overall.

I wouldn't want to downgrade the Focal Banger by adding Heady to it.

I think blending beers is a great idea, something I do regularly.

Who cares, I can't get either one of those beers. Just kidding, I would love the chance to drink them seperately or blended.
