You never know, and you'd be surprised what it did get! Funny that the old lady was called a mule while carrying out the Mom Jeans, but she's the one that wouldn't let me pull the trigger on the trade until we opened the first bottle.

Btw, it has to be said, that's just some weird next level stalking and trolling...enjoy that righteous, irrational bitter nook of anger you've built for yourself

It's not as weird or stalkerish as you think. Anyone with a rational brain who sees the trade boards is going to raise an eyebrow when they see the words "Big Stouts" in an ISO when the FT is Hoof Hearted.

Raise an eyebrow? Why? Have you traded any HHB yet? If not, you must not realize what we have in our own backyard. Some extremely delicious brews, that just so happen to be in greater demand outside of the state than within, by a wide margin...I guess the fewer Ohioans that know or recognize that, the better...?

And it's not really about raising an eyebrow, it's about going out of your way to find it, save it, copy-paste it into an HHB thread. I just wonder how long he's been hanging onto that, really, it's about as weird and stalkerish as it can get without getting personal.

I've tried every beer they've canned as well as some of the draft-only offerings. They range from inconsistent (my biggest complaint about them) to very good. And yes, Hoof Hearted trading for big stouts like KBBS is an absolute joke and would raise anyone's eyebrow (anyone who has any clue, that is). Looks like you deleted the thread, too. Wonder why?

Why is everyone talking about two bottles of KBS taped together?

Yep, the appearance of their beers is very inconsistent, but that's not a very important factor to me. However, the aromas and flavors have been pretty spot on consistent regardless of the appearance.

I deleted the trade request because the trade was satisfied. I've deleted every trade thread of mine thus far, as is outlined in the rules. I don't understand why people leave them up after they've been satisfied.

Look I don't quite understand why you and jampics latch onto me so strongly and follow me so closely (you know you could save yourself some time and just hit the follow button), but there are far better things to do with your time. I can only guess there is some kind of misplaced jealousy or maybe you guys always find someone to harass until they leave, but I guess telling you move on and have a beer probably wouldn't help. So is there anything else you and jampics would like to know about me? Want to set a tea and crumpet date? :astonished:

No, what you don't get is it's all related.

You came to this site, a site where hundreds of us have been members (and friends/acquaintances in real life because of this forum) for years and instead of being polite, dipping a toe in the water or waiting, reading and learning, you came out guns blazing and insulted a bunch of people with your holier than thou and completely hypocritical posts about kids and what breweries we should/shouldn't like. The first 5-10 times most of us saw your name was next to these kinds of posts.

You're reminiscent of countless other trouble making newbs who come here, act like they own the place, then, eventually fizzle out and disappear (thank god!).

Why did I post your ridiculous ISO? Your trade post shows exactly how green you are. I honestly don't know if you could trade Hoof Hearted (the entire brewery) for a KBBS. But you obviously know how bad it made you look since you deleted it.

Point being, take your time and chill out

or don't, but if you don't ramp up and slow your roll, be prepared to be called out for absurd newbie offensive stuff.

    LOLZ. :astonished::astonished::astonished::astonished:

TBH, if you guys don't like HHB, why are you here? What is with Ohioans going into brewery specific threads and crapping all over Ohio breweries? Is it just carryover from sports culture--where it just doesn't feel right unless we're losing and full of bitterness and hatred? lmao...

Sorry bro you lost me at "the aromas and flavors have been pretty spot on consistent regardless of the appearance." My consistency remark was about flavor, not appearance (even though obviously that is inconsistent). Not sure how long you've been drinking their beer, but just, no, you are incorrect. When it's good, it's very good...but it's not always good. Ask some of our highly-regarded brewers around the state how they feel about Hoof. You'd be in for a rude awakening...

When did I ever say I don't like them? I like a lot of their beers, but I am not one of those guys who blindly loves a brewery. They have work to do; they are not immune to criticism. No one is.

I'll trade a KBBS for the entire Hoof Hearted Brewery and a small plus. LMK.

I've never said whether I like or dislike any of their beers but to say they've all been consistent in taste and aroma is a joke. If you seriously believe that don't waste your time and money tracking down a KBBS because it'll probably taste just like BA mom jeans to you

I just realized the same guy that said the GABF judges have no idea what they're doing is the one who said that HH beers have consistent flavor and aroma.

I really like HH beers but there is nothing consistent about them. At first it didn't bother me, but the effort involved in driving 1.5 hours to a release on a Sunday for a beer that might be okay or might be really good is starting to lose it's appeal to me.

EDIT: Especially considering that I can find fresh Rajah or Head Hunter practically in my backyard.

So it does sound like you take pride in having experience with harassing and insulting people into leaving for good. That's what I thought, I'll keep that in mind.

The only people I've seen making trouble are you, and a select few others that follow you, or vice versa. Anytime I made a post clearly stating my opinion, you or others would take personal offense to it and spit fire left and right about how wrong I was and how crappy other Ohio breweries were and how big of jerks specific brewers are. Look at what's happened here, just go from post to post, who escalated it, and who made it personal?

I didn't put a trade up for KBBS, I threw it in a list of big stouts for consideration--and btw I got three of the others on that list. If you think it's green to see what others are willing to put up for what you're offering, then cool--color me green if it makes you feel superior, which is something you obviously need. What does it matter to me? You find it to be a valuable, life-defining trait to be "experienced" at utilizing one website on the entirety of the internet.

Are you and Ryan saying that batch to batch, Roller Blabe is inconsistent with each successive Roller Blabe? South of Eleven is inconsistent with each successive South of Eleven, and so on? Or are you saying that some of Hoof's beers you feel are of lower quality and you don't like them compared to other specific Hoof beers? Because there's a big difference.

I feel that the flavors and aromas of Blabe have been pretty consistent over several batches, as with Musk, Mom Jeans, Belloq, and even the recent AWHFY, which I first had at the brewpub opening week. AWHFY looked drastically different in the brewpub and out of cans, but it had all the same notes I detected in my review.

I don't blindly love HHB, you can see that in my reviews. If you read my reviews and still don't think I have the "chops" to discern all of these magical qualities you think your superior palates do over mine, then fine. But none of us had to submit our tongues to the mystical Gods that decide who can and can't rate and review beer. So, agree to disagree, although, I think at this point I'm not placing too much value in the opinions of spiteful, argumentative dudes on a forum that think they are better than others because their usernames are older than mine lol.

It's the former...I've had batches of roller Blabe that have been amazing and batches that I didn't even care to finish for example. I'm not expecting everyone to agree with me in terms of enjoyment and some people might love every batch but to say they've tasted consistent isn't accurate at all.

For someone who follows this site, and specifically some of the ohio related and beer trading threads, but does not post a whole lot, there is not much I find more annoying and frustrating than the use of sweeping generalizations.

Specifically, I mean the use of "newbs", " new money" and the like. Anytime anyone speaks in such general terms, that person comes off as ignorant, close-minded, petty, and belligerent. What kind of an atmosphere, community, and beer advocacy does this help promote and Foster? Shouldn't the point be to constructively comment instead of going out of the way to call people out and get personal? It really sounds like "get off my lawn."

Now, I get it, people are posting in public forums, stuff is said in the real world, etc., but when done anonymously over the Internet, it's usually a nice case of Internet (beer?) muscles.

There are both great and annoying members, new and old alike, but generalized and going out of thr way to get personally is really just sad and disappointing.

Sorry, end rant. Back on topic, I have enjoyed what I have had from hoof, and like the new release format which allows some cans to trickle out into distribution as I cannot make the releases based on distance and having two children under 4.
