Pittsburgh - New Beers & Local Breweries

Camp Horne? That's my regular store. The one thing I can say about it is I've never had a problem with old bottles (especially for Fat Heads stuff). Good Vibes and Hoodoo sit baking in the sun. Fortunately there is a Wine & Spirits inside.

 

It seems like Bottle shops got a lot more than past years, and even a lot more Distributors got multiple cases of KBS that only got 1 case in past years.

 

Was going to ask about splitsies, but they are all gone.

 

When I went down to MDSS, Randy said it's the most KBS he's ever gotten.

 

The area sold more founders so got more KBS. Thank the guy that's picking up all day and centennial 12/15 packs every other day.

 

My first thought exactly. I cringed the first time i went in and saw those beers just sitting in the window getting all hot and bothered in the mid day sun....

Does CBS usually come out right after KBS? Still haven't tried it..

 

^ HAHAHAHAHAHA to that guy. CBS is strictly a draft beer now. They haven't bottled it in a couple years and is very limited.

 

Ok so maybe he was talking about draft... HAHAH

..Anyway, they had it mid July of last year at Mad Mex in Shadyside and I think around the same time they had it at Fat Head's.

 

I heard they were breaking out the shot-skis for it

I'll check out the PCBW site. It's not a huge want or anything, just a beer I've been curious about.

 

I was way off, Thursday April 21 at Urban Tap. Says it taps at noon, which is weird for a Thursday. Also, Nhens0016 isn't invited, because he's mean.

 

Speaking of all day ipa, I bought a 3 month old 15 pack at the distro the other day and it tasted great. I usually try to buy the freshest possible but for all day (and Sierra Nevada for that matter) I won't be digging through cooler to find the freshest one anymore.

 

And I don't remember hearing much talk about fatheads bone head red on here. Just dropped everywhere it seems. Is this the most under the radar beer or what? Not only is it way better than nugget nectar, I think it's one of the best hoppy beers we can get around here.
