    Cactus Land Brewing Co. in Adkins, Texas is expecting an opening date of January 2017. TTB and TABC have been submitted. Equipment purchased and building renovations are taking place.

    I heard a rumor while visiting a brewery in Leander on Friday that IronSight brewing is in bad shape because one of the owners screwed everyone over. Apparently he changed the locks, fired the assistant brewer when he showed up to open the taproom and is trying to force the other owner out. They haven't been open in a month, does anyone know anything about this? I love their beer and would sure hate to see them go.

    "I would like to sincerely thank all of my family and friends who have supported my dream of someday owning a brewery. The road was long and I worked countless hours while spending precious time away from my wife and daughter, but I did it! I brewed some really great beer, met some great people, made new friends, and learned some really cool things along the way. I love brewing and my passion for the craft keeps me moving toward something new.

    I have decided to walk away from my place at IronSight Brewers and will no longer be a part of the day to day operations. I tried everything to save IronSight from the grasp of greed but during that fight I came to realize that I am better off leaving the company behind. I DID NOT FAIL! I am choosing to walk away from IronSight with my head held high knowing that I built something great and hopefully IronSight will continue to flourish. My future is bright and I have people behind me that believe in me. I do have plans in the works to start over! So stay tuned!

    So, I gotta ask, what is your connection with Ironsight? All 5 of your posts have been regarding Ironsight - one to talk about them opening and that they have good beer, one to talk about a great place up in north Austin, two to bring up a rumor that one owner screwed over Robert, and then this.

    It just seems....odd...that this is all you talk about/bring up.

    My only connection is that I thoroughly enjoyed their beers and was very disappointed to see that I wouldn't be able to come back for more. Honestly I found the reddit thing floating around FB a few days ago so I thought I would share it on this forum topic because I had previously commented on it. I just hate to see the "little guy" get shit on so I apologize if my posts came off overly concerned but it's really nothing more than that. I have so few posts because I use Untappd now

    There has been a rumor floating around that they were looking into starting to brew. I have not heard anything in the last 6 months, but it was mentioned to me by someone in the "know"....
