I occasionally see events posted in which they will be featuring Double Shot Double Black. I see a non barrel-aged version listed on here. What confuses me, is on the Bent Paddle website, they have no listing of a non barrel-aged version.

The two listed on this site are both BA, the closest you will get to non barrel aged DSDB is Cold Pressed Black Ale

    So why two listings?

Many brews in BA data base have multiple listings. Several Brews get added twice wish this was not the case.

They are two completely different beers which is why there is two listings.

Had it on tap and it was quite different from BADSBD (AKA I think it was the un-barrel aged version of it). I am not sure if it was anything more than a couple random tappings.

I am not sure why, but this beer seems to confuse everyone.

They have not released an unbarreled version. Double Black is barrel-aged and is the base beer (the brewer confirmed this on Facebook when they first made mention of bottling DSDB), therefore Double Shot Double Black is barrel-aged.

I added the original beer from ABR, and it was barrel-aged, trust me.

I sent a duplicate beer notification to the mods and they still left both in place.

I decided to email Bent Paddle and this was their response:

"Thanks for your inquiry! The only DSDB beer that we brew is barrel aged for a year!"
