Firestone Venice Brewery

Anyone that went yesterday is there any parabajava left? Phones don't seem to work properly

 

I wish more breweries would take the effort to implement similar policies concerning limits. As much as I enjoy getting as many bottles of a certain release as possible, it's nice to be able to spread it around more - and not like there aren't other great breweries in the area I can throw money at as well.

 

So is the Venice location open at 11am for the weekends only (till sometimes in May). Thinking about driving from north OC for a visit. But only if they're open in the afternoon.

 

Thinking about heading over tomorrow. How busy has it been? Have they posted weekend hours yet?

 

I stopped in there around noon and it was easy to find a parking spot - could be due to folks thinking they open at 5pm. In any case, store was empty. The only thing I didn't like was the tone the worker laid out the limits with.
Sounded like he's been dealing with too many Chemman14s of the world that want to get some for themselves and every one they trade with/proxy for.

I'm cool with the limits, though they didn't say the window that you have to wait for. I imagine that they'd be wiped out of inventory if they just opened the flood gates to that sort of thing.

 

Not sure what tank touching has to do with anything, but...

 

Is there anywhere they post what they have for bottles or tap

I don't want to drive over there and end up getting nothing because all these trade hunters have bought up all the stuff i want to drink

Let me know if anyone knows what they have

As far as another local not having the motivation to go to the store the last week...not everyone can get out there during the week. For me, I could have gone every day the store was open to pick up bottles if I wanted to but not everyone has that luxury. This gives people who can't get over there as frequently as us a chance to get bottles too.

 

I like to think I'm a nice guy for just getting my 1 bottle for personal consumption and not getting mules to get more for hoarding or trading so that more people have the opportunity to come in and buy one.

 

Honestly, after buying my PJ, if told I could never buy another again, it still would be a win considering how much of a mess that release was handled and it's an adjunct stout - so sitting on it like I would excess Parabola's is not something that is on the top of my list to do. The fact that 5 months after the release of this beer I can get a single bottle in the new location is fine enough for me.

 

So... is that like yelling "Well, I quit!" after the boss tells you that you're being let go?

Just Picked up Parabajava. Wish they had more than just two beers on tap. Oh well.

 

Was surprised to see FW Venice open yesterday at lunch. Walked in with a friend and it was fairly mellow compared to the night before where it was packed to the gills with a line outside the door like at a club. Plenty of nice non-BA beer nerds, aka regular beer drinking people, that were having a great time. After about 1:30 it started getting fairly packed again with a lot of folks waiting around for tables and seats.

I was told that they plan on being open Saturdays for lunch this month. Perhaps they will expand to lunch next month.

Keller Pils was on tap which is unfiltered Pivo Pils. Super tasty.

 

went last night finally. it's way bigger than i pictured it in the photos. place was packed but the staff did a great job. think girlfriend and i got lucky getting a place at the bar. people were just leaving. they said they waited an hour and a half.

the Lion was behind the bar pouring beers and cleaning glasses. he looked pretty tired. talked to him a bit and he seemed like an awesome guy. can respect the fact that he's there in the trenches putting in some work

feel so lucky that we are the ones who got this. they could have opened one in any city they wanted to.

 

Beer has become Pokemon for adults.

 

Just picked some up. Still had a few left sunday at 1

 

Anyone know if you can bottles after store hours? I tried calling.

 

God forbid a brewery make its own rules about its own beer. Don't like the rules? Don't buy the beer or go to the brewery. Simple. Rules are set because of others who have exploited and ruined things for the majority of us regular customers. Be mad at those who came before, not Firestone.
