He should fire his divorce lawyer - Muling should have definitely been part of the settlement

I paid $180 bucks for a group E DLD ticket in 2013 (Craigslist). I had a lot of friends going (student at Valpo during that time) so I bit the bullet and paid up. I got there, brought a crap ton of rare beer, and became friends with the guy who charged me $140 more for a ticket. After we picked up our beer he apologized and gave me $140 cash back, bought me a tshirt, and we became friends. Moral of the story, if you are going screw someone on a ticket you better be prepared to get the 4-5 hour guilt trip of your life. Especially if he is a nice guy.

This is the exact reason why I was thinking of bringing Caffe Americano. Get in line bright and early, and get some coffee in the system.

What about the line to actually enter the festival? When is it good/bad? Always really long? I'm in group E so I may not show up at the butt crack of dawn, then I'll force myself to pace a bit and make it to the end when the guest taps have short lines.

I got there around noon last year and the line took an hour, maybe a bit more to get into the festival. Didn't mind the wait, everyone was drinking.

The line gets shorter later in the afternoon, maybe like 3? The line to get in is just a big bottle share though, so it's fun either way.

Despite having group E, is it best to still show up ass crack early in order to get good taps?

I've also been told by a DLD vet that some great beers don't get tapped til the evening.

Since I have all day to wait for my group allotment, should I attack DL taps first or what? Glassware? Or does the glassware really last a while? I'd hate to miss out on glass but I'd hate to miss out on variant taps also

Dont assume that the best beer will be tapped in the morning...it happens all day.

It will be random, what gets tapped when. You might miss out on some stuff if you show up later, but then again it will be impossible to have it all. There will be good taps throughout the day.

As for glass, last year the lines were long as hell in middle of afternoon. Probably 2+hrs long at some points. However, there was plenty of glass available at the end of the day, and Dark Matter even sold some of the glassware on their website a few days after the event. I'd focus on the beers and drift over to the glass line when you feel like you need to take a break from drinking for a bit (and maybe eat while you wait). I wouldn't get in that line if it was any longer than 30-45 min though.

I have a feeling that this festival is going to squeeze more than the $200.00 I paid for the ticket once I'm inside. It is okay, however, shut up and take my money 3F and other vendors.

I was group E last year. After getting bottles we hit the glassware booth, and everything was still available, with zero wait time.

If you want to experience the bottle sharing, then you need to be there first thing. Otherwise the only bottle you will see will be lining Indiana Parkway. Overall lines tend to get shorter after 4.

"If you have already purchased tickets online, do NOT buy tickets on site, as they will be invalidated."

I hope the usual suspects ignore this, buy tickets this morning, and have all of their tickets be invalidated at the gate. I would pay for video of that exchange when they finally get to the front and ultimately get turned away.

Tip of the hat to FFF for a smooth process this morning. I think people are still in bed.

How many tickets do they usually sell on-site? I have always been curious. Hopefully they release more event information this week, we are running out of material on this thread....

Made a detour to FFF on my way to work this morning. Got there around 7:20 with maybe 10 people in line. Pretty painless. In and out in less than 10 min.

Have any locals taken the route now of purposely avoiding the internet sales and just waiting until the in person sales occur? I wasn't sure if the crowd getting them now is mostly people that missed out when they went on sale or just purposely waited for in person sales. It's a pretty attractive option, but obviously risky since you don't know when they will go on sale.
