After two visits I can say these guys are legit. Up there with the best breweries in Seattle for sure. With service from former Bottleworks employees you will be in good hands. Love that they brew so many great lagers.

Agree on all counts. They have been flying under the radar a bit but they have some of the best brews around right now. Somehow I have not had their Pils. I need to correct that. I also agree with your take about breweries and their pilsners. Easy to brew but very hard to brew well.

@TheBungyo was generous enough to bring me a mini-growler of the Saison over the weekend, and I crushed the hell out of it yesterday. Crisp, bubbly body, an almost lemony tang, and some nice yeast spice. I look forward to trying more of their stuff.

Love the location of the brewery. Shouldn't be any trouble at all to "tick" this place in the very near future.

Nice to have another local brewery that does a lot of styles well and also has some German styles to boot.

If you're coming from the south, it's super easy to take the West Seattle Bridge and drop down on 1st a block away from the brewery.

    Good know. Thanks!

Maybe I can convince the GF that we need to go have breakfast again over at Luna Park, and then just happen to notice this "new to me" brewery on the way back home to Tacoma. :-)

This'll work only as long as she doesn't know you're on BA and read this post. Otherwise, the jig'll be up before it even starts.

Ha ha.... for now at least, she doesn't seem to mind if I use the term interchangeably. On especially good days, she's even still cool with me calling her the "main squeeze."

Things should be getting a little funky in the future at Seapine. Time frame TBD.

Man these guys have been on the short list of 'I need to get down there' for so long...
I need to finally just get down there.

This is a neglected thread, which gets 'no respect.' And speaking of, their collab with Chuck's by that name, an amplified version of Rainbow Suspenders, is marvelous. Hoppy, malty, bitter, smooth, and all in perfect proportion.

For anyone within reach of Seattle hankering for a classic PNW-style IIPA, you may wish to start your search here while supplies last. And don't ever forget Seapine when you're traveling in the area. They can forcefully remind you of all you've lately been missing...

And, along with Skookum, make "NEIPAs" that still have a satisfying hop bite.

Going to M's game on the 30th, gonna try some sweet talk my friends to hit em up before the game.

FYI - Seapine is listed as one of the "must hit" breweries in the Visiting Seattle thread.

Yep. Our MO around here really isn't to hype up all of our favorite breweries. We just talk about random stuff.

The collab spelt pale with Floodland was excellent, btw.

Yeah, I know - and those threads are a great service, BTW!

But the expertly crafted brew I had yesterday in what has recently become an underappreciated style among noisy factions of beer geek-dom was all the reason I needed to blow 20 months of dust off this thread and shine a little extra light on these guys. Compared to most of the other "must hit" breweries in Seattle, they really don't get enough respect. Not trying to hype up anything, just offering a bit of praise for a beer and a brewery that tends to fly beneath the radar for a lot of folks.
