Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

Peruvian Morning (BA Coffee Stout) is the only CW beer that has had infection issues. They were caused by the coffee roaster, that roasted the beans for the PM, sharing a ventilation system w/ a bakery. CW sorted it all out and has kegged a few batches of PM, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they bottle it again some time in the future. My absolute favorite BA coffee stout. BA cherry stout will be WI only again this year, same as last year.

 

Some pictures on the CW page on Midwest have some people drinking bottles of it right now. Appears they may be releasing soon.

 

Unfortunately, those are cellared bottles that are couple of years old now.

 

I believe CW has said it will be back in bottles in 2017.

 

Anyone else see Waldos anywhere besides zipps?

 

Nuts, I was getting my hopes up.

In other news, Heritage received Castle Danger's Double Crossing. Not sure if people are looking Double, but I sure was.

Anybody know where I can find some Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad? Is this a hard one to find or pretty common? I see it was released in November...

 

You should be able to find it with a little looking. I think Rapids had some. If you don't find any, I have a bottle that I'd trade

 

I last saw it about a month I ago and haven't seen any BBQ since.

I believe I read that all CW markets will get someone. Just found a tweet saying NY will get it, if NY gets it, we have to get it.

Grabbed some of this at MGM in Eagan and was really impressed. Also, Apple Valley #3 had Waldo as of last night.

New Beer Alert!
For the first time ever, we have bottled Barrel Aged Wee Heavy.

Next Friday April 22nd, we will release it on tap and in 750mL bottles. Wee Heavy is our double gold medal winning Scotch Ale, and this batch has been sitting in Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels for a year. It clocks in at 8.8%

Get it here at the taproom for $7 a glass, and $18 for a 750mL bottle (limit 4 bottles/person). We have a decent amount of this, but don't miss out!
