Thanks for the update. I'm a big Grimm fan but Beltway has gotten pretty ridiculous with the gauging on Grimm offerings. A 4 pack on IPAs in the markets they distribute go for around $17 (if you can find them). Haven't made the trip since they increased the pricing out there.

 

Ha! Fat chance you can get a 4-pack or find them for this price. Whole Foods, which generally has the cheapest prices in NYC, sells 4-packs for $18.99 (when they sell by 4-pack) or more often $4.99/can with a limit of 2 cans. That's by far the lowest price though - most places sell closer to $6/can, with cans even going for $7-8 at some bottle shops. Often all with a 2 can limit.

Still though, that's quite pricey. FWIW, 32oz growlers of their beer go for the same price here, so it's not totally off base.

 

Maybe the price isn't out of line, but its still too much in my opinion. I think Aslin is really pushing it with their pricing ($14/32oz), I'm just not willing to pay that much for beer. I think Tired Hands makes better ipas than both of them, and they usually charge $10/32oz.

 

Going to be flying in to Baltimore this weekend. Any chance of finding Parabola on the shelves or has that not made it east yet? And does Grimm distribute to the Baltimore area?

Grimm's non-hoppy beers do make it to MD. Max's is your best bet, they have the sours on sometimes and had BA Double Negative bottles for sale during VSB last weekend. No idea what's left now.

 

Not talking NYC. Talking Upstate NY and Boston where 4 16 oz cans can be purchased for ~$20. So we're talking half the price of what they are charging at the source (beltway).

 

Yea, some places will sell for $20/4-pack upstate. But keep in mind that upstate gets very few Grimm cans - the overwhelming majority goes to NYC. I would say, on average across all cans distributed, they are more like $6/can. And Grimm doesn't distro cans to Boston, cans only go to NY state.

But yes, I agree that growlers at Beltway are expensive.
