For what it's worth, I work for a railroad that just got a letter from the town of Munster about increased foot traffic. They state that the event "is expected to attract 8500 people."

So 8500 tickets sold is the magic number. I do find it amusing that the police assume people only come if they have a ticket, and now to trade and drink outside of the event space.

Yes, it is always fun to see if you can find someone to dome a terrible beer. Like the guy who tried to chug a Biggs' Stache a few years ago with our group.

Or the blue cheese infected Blue Lady from PW some years back. Guy was walking down the line before the gates opened offering up pours as kind of a joke. I told him I jut wanted a sniff of it and holy balls was it wretched.

It was the opposite of insane. I got there at 11:15am expecting the worst (a long line, no parking, etc.). There were like 4 cars in the parking lot and I walked in with one other dude. In the brewpub there were like 3 or 4 people. They asked if I was eating/drinking or buying tickets. They directed to me to a table where they made 2 photocopies of my id with a pass. They gave me one and attached the other one to the pass using a paperclip. Told me to go to Will Call. Picked up 2 bottles of Quaanto and was out in less than 5 minutes. They did not print my name on the pass and it had no name on it. They may print it on later or leave it blank. It was unclear.

Si, but they will have ATMS on site which if you know your festivals really well only about half of them will be working at any given time, so just bring as many dolares you plan to spend with you to the festival sir.

Is it ok to sip the Dark Lord from the puddles that form on the ground when an unfortunate soul doesn't properly secure the bottles, and there is breakage? I've seen it happen.

Since this year each and every bottle will be bill safely secured in a FFFs approved "tote bag", my guess is that there will be no breakage. No broken dreams. No Tears for Beers. Shout!

Alright, I'll be that guy - the official rules only specify that beer carried OUT of the fest must be in a sealed container... so technically growlers can be carried IN as long as they get consumed while there, yes? I haven't seen official confirmation either way... I tweeted them so I'll report back if I get a response.

I'm bringing a 2009 Abyss. It has been a more interesting beer being infected. Drank one a year ago that I still enjoyed so....
