Anyone know what they were selling bottles of KBS for? It had to be north of $10.

I don't know. Who cares? If you are buying it there you are a fool. Not saying you. I'm just saying anyone that would.

I stopped into this place while visiting family in the area because it was the first place that popped up on a quick search for beer. I was excited because they had a lot of stuff we don't get in NYC, but they did seem to have a lot of old beer sitting around and the prices rivaled New York's... Can you guys recommend better bottle shops nearby?

Wegmans Malvern and Whole Foods in Devon. Whole Foods has more limited stuff, whereas Wegmans has a huge selection of sixers and bombers.

It's kind of boring and it isn't "hip" but the grocery stores here are better than any bottle shops I've found.

They do get some things you won't get at wegmans or whole foods, so if you are looking for something they don't have, it is a good (expensive) place to go...

This is strange right? You would be paying to take over his lease and liquor license I guess. Only $1.5 million? :astonished: Weren't the auctions for liquor licenses around 75-300K just a little while ago?

Getting the whole package, license, equipment, apartment, and probably the existing stock and relationships with wholesalers.

Hmm, I wonder who would want to purchase a bottle shop right now given that retail Beer Distributors can now sell 6-packs and bottles?

    Cheers!

I live in Malvern and like to keep a pulse on real estate in the area. I'll check Zillow usually 2-3 times a week. Today that was one of the newer listings.

If it includes the building, then that's a steal compared to a local distributor for sale near me in Lansdale:

For over $1 million, it has about the worst setup for a beer store: not on a main road (it's in the middle of residential area), its tiny, and has zero parking so it's drive-through. Which means you're only catering to the "gimme a case of Bud Light" crowd.

The price is for the business not the building:

    Studio 2 baths 3,000 sqft

    For Sale

    $1,495,000

    Est. Mortgage

    $5,674/mo

    Get pre-qualified

Business for sale. The beer shop offers over a wide variety of craft selections located in the Lincoln Court Shopping Center about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. This business is located in a high foot traffic plaza next to Giants, Dollar Tree and Wine and Spirits. The store is 3,000 square feet and offers a full bar with 30 taps that seats 10 patrons. Additional seating for 10 can can be found at the high counter top. There is a walk-in cooler with 24 door beer fridge access. All equipment and licenses are included in the sale. To generate additional revenue, new owners can possibly add cigarettes, lottery and offer a delivery service. All equipment is owned and included in the sale of the business with a lease remaining until 2021 with rent being 5,200 per month plus triple net. Please do not disturb the employees.

    Cheers!

I feel like this is overpriced agreed. But it is off of Route 30 (Quite the main road actually) Though not visible from that road. What do you mean by drive-thru? It is certainly not really a residential area. I agree parking is a pain. But its in a shopping center with a grocery store and a liquor store as well as some other things..I'd say its a good spot to be..

Well I hope this means they're going out of business. They won't be missed.

I kind of like them. Though I went there mostly just for drafts and conversation to be honest. If the owner is the guy with the accent who is only there once and a while and is kinda loud at the employees im not a fan of him..
