What are you looking to trade it for? Then someone might be able to give you a relevant answer...

I traded an Olde Hickory Lindley Park plus a nice extra for one last year. IMO the Melange was a great drinker, i'm not sure how it's aging, but it is a great beer overall. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure I'd trade either of my bottles for anything. It's simply too good to risk getting anything less than amazing in return.

I traded 2 Cantillon Kriek 375 ml and 1 Rose de Gambrinus 375 ml for a Melange 3 a few months ago

The Melange 3 is one of my favorite beers, always looking for more.

Just traded a Surly Five for one, and drank it about 4 hours after receiving it. It's good.

By yourself? I'd have to take a long nap after that.

Yeah, I would've called in for reinforcements but I simply couldn't wait any longer. I wish I had (lots) more.

as much as I like it, I would have no problem polishing off a bottle by myself.

I drank a Melange 3 this past weekend, absolutely delicious. I think I even liked it more than Black Tuesday...

I'd say it is not quite as tasty, but it is much less boozy and easier to drink.

I traded a Weyerbacher Sour Black, 2 KBS, and an Allagash Old HLT for Melange 3 and Beat5. Idk how much longer I can hold onto the M3 with all these rave reviews above.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Really didn't think the thread would take a left turn to a conversation of holding onto it, but I'm glad it did. I'll give holding onto / drinking it a trade. Got the M3 as part of a base trade of 2 bottles on my side for 3 bottles. I was always more interested in the first two bottles I got, feeling M3 was the icing on the cake and that it wouldn't be to my taste, concerns about boozy / overpowering and not being drinkable. However, sounds like a jumped to conclusions.

Agree on the Melange 3. Seems like BT has the hype but I give Melange street cred on drinkability.

you haven't had it before? invite a couple friends over and pop that sucker open, it's a tasty beer and perfect for sharing. also, i dont think the last release commanded anything like the first one did...they made a ton more and i think the limit was like 1 case/person.

I've traded a few of mine for some solid stuff...can't quite remember what they were for at the moment though.

I also agree that it's a tasty beer and I have 3 more that will be drank. I like it better than BT but Chocolate Rain is still my favorite of the whole BT treatment/blend beers.

It was on shelves at Provisions for a very long time, so I wouldn't give up anything too rare for it.

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean, but the last batch of M3 was objectively not that hard to get. And isn't it going into distribution this year?
