Let's not forget that with the last call half hour before the event is over so only 1.5 hrs to get fills while obtaining your bottles. Whoopy!

Plus, if I recall correctly from last year, it took a good 20 or 30 minutes to get everyone inside with a glass in hand.

192 people per session, checking ID and credit card used for purchase....sounds about right.

So now we're talking an hour and 10 or 15 minutes to take down 35 oz. of barrel aged beers? Yikes.

But I feel better with 3-4 hours rather than 1 and a half to two hours LOL

And don't forget you have a little more than 7 BA brews to choose from at FOBAB

I know a lot has been said regarding this event and cost. I myself am not going. Cost being the biggest factor. That being said, at the end of the day, no one gets forced to buy a ticket to this event or any other for that matter. If one doesn't agree with cost, then simply don't go. Also don't see any issues with people voicing their agreement or disagreement with prices.

I'm sure 18th St. will do their best to make it an awesome event for those that do attend.....And I'm also sure that there will be people that attend that will say they had a great time and others that will disagree. That's just how it goes.

    Anyway, cheers!!!

I'm mostly just being a jerk.

Yeah, that's the difference. I feel good about a power hour when there's a more leisurely pace after. Having the entire event crammed into that hour is dumb.

In my limited experience watching him in the Gary brewpub from afar like a creepy fan boy, Drew likes his customers just as much as he likes their money, and he's probably going to put on a pretty killer event. I'm sure I won't feel like I do now when I leave there, but for right now I'm going to continue pout in the corner.

We will never make people happy, if its not us it will be some other brewery.

I would be happy to pay $70 for a DD then $10K for a DUI. But it has to be cheap to make since I guess.

People can say what they want, but to think we would ever make people happy, we will always be wrong no matter what. We don't care about the money and never have because we have never had it.

Or it has to be within the realm of reasonability, as its clearly not, as no one has bought one. I would have have no problem being a DD, but for $70, I'd drop my friend off at the brewery and go spend it at target and come back in two hours to pick them up, rather than consuming all the craft soda I can.

If that were the case you would not be gouging people to come and enjoy your product in the most limited time possible hoping they will spend the extra coin to be safe and responsible. Very irresponsible on your part but maybe you are getting a cut from the Indy 5-O to help subsidize your new location. Good luck with that business model because it won't be my cash your are getting. You might see a few of my dollars when you hit chicago distro but until then not so much.

    Cheers

Went to Half Acres Throw (party) last year and that cost $60. No Bottle sales but a lock down party with a DJ, Band, Food and a crazy Tap list. They BA Coffee Vanilla Hunter and compared to some of the other offerings (BADL) it was kind of dissapointing. Slow your roll 18th street you are not top of the heap yet.

Yeah but you couldn't even pay it for them, you had to put your DD on the hook for $70, which in any case is more expensive than a cab.
I'm not sure how you can even pretend to justify a DD ticket (that can't partake in the beer or buy bottles) being the same price as the ticket that lets you drink beer and buy bottles? Because it's cheaper than a DUI? If that's the only argument, why not charge $800 for a DD ticket, that's cheaper than a DUI too.

I was session 1 last year, they started letting people in the front room early, everyone was inside before the start time.

LOL. Get a clue. You've lost a lot of goodwill with this whole mess, and your arrogantly talking about somehow justifying the value on Facebook and then going radio silent when people ask legitimate questions about why your pricing is what it is doesn't help. If your justification is that $70 < $10K, you're more clueless than we thought.
