Price really can't be a factor if you're buying beer at Fenway, other than to limit the number of beers you drink. If they have Jack's Abby, I'll buy it over any of the other options. But I generally have one beer, maybe two beers tops in the stadium.

If they are going by oz then yes, the price will definitely be higher. But if their going by price, house lager is $29.50/case wholesale and I know that finest kind, harpoon and green monsta are all relatively the same.

I'm usually too busy watching the game to worry about beer. My wife will be happy, though!

Boom Sauce is supposedly going to be available at Fenway this year. I was told the owner had a meeting with the Sox about it over the winter.

While it's nice they'll have Jack's, my game day plans still consist of stopping by The Lower Depths outside Kenmore Station a few hours beforehand. Great tap list and hot dogs/tater tots. What more do you need??

I went to the game last night and saw not only JA House Lager tall boys, but now they are selling several Harpoon beers in 16 oz cans (IPA, UFO White and Camp Wannamango). Hmm, tall boy can or smaller draft beer for the same price?

Nice! What's the pricing on the pint cans out of curiosity?

More like first time to any ballpark? Also, most parks have family sections now, anyone who doesn't want to be surrounded by people drinking beer should probably look into these setions, especially at Gillette!

But back OT, JA HL will definately my go to at Fenway.

I did not partake myself but I saw the pricing of "16 oz craft cans" as either $9.50 or $9.75. I had assumed the larger serving would be sold at like $11 or $12 to keep with the price per ounce, but Aramark or whomever the mgmt. is must be hesitant to break the $10 mark as sales may go a ways down at that point...

Are you a casual fan or a die hard? Because honestly I have yet to meet a true Sox fan that would ever suggest tearing down Fenway and building some new generic park or worse stadium. Fenway lacks in certain areas for sure as it's an older ball park but it MORE THAN makes up for it in history, nostalgia and charm. I would be devastated if we lost Fenway. That would be a true tragedy. Plus they have done an amazing job widening the concourses and making food and drink more readily available over the last 10 -12 years.

Eh, grew up around it and played baseball my whole life jv, all stars, high school. Lived on Mission hill for a while and was down there for a ton of games (as well as rioting) Saw it through some of the best and worst times. Also used to spend a ton of time around Kenmore and the area at hardcore shows. So you're right the area and stadium has come a long way. Nostalgia, maybe for the games I went to when I was young, the suckers selling Yankess Suck shirt and beating the piss bag out of people(some I knew) and the overall choas and friggin insanity on Lansdowne street. Might miss coming out of the golds gym behind the monster and hanging around after. Again, as I get into my mid 30's it's just not somewhere I would want to frequent very often. Its uncomfortable to say the least and god damn expensive. Gillette is a much better experience(Had season tix to Foxborough growing up and that was a hell hole)I'd prefer to watch it at home or out with some friends. Also as I grew up and got further into other sports the excitement and slow pace of baseball has dropped off and I think I was burned out, including not wanting to play in college. So yea, much more casual fan now.

We're the minority but we exist. I'm a die hard fan - diehard baseball history fan even - and I've been done with Fenway for some years now. Let its glory years live in our memories, time to move on. I refuse to give that stadium 1 more penny of my hard earned money. It's a miserable value (insulting even) and I laugh when people - grown adults - who say it's the "magic" that brings them back. Magic? What are we, little kids at disney world?

Another die hard Sox fan here that wants a new park. The place just sucks to watch a game.

I'll take dumpy old Fenway over pretty much any other sporting venue. Its unique, next to public transit and its in a great area with a ton of good spots to hang out before and after games. I'll take that over a stadium that is surrounded by acres of parking lots and miles of traffic in a lame area outside of the city.
The beer situation is pretty dire though so I smuggle in whiskey.

I like Fenway but it's hard to justify those beer prices. I guess somebody has to pay Sandoval's McDonald's bills and Castillo's bus fare to Pawtucket.

I'd take Camden over Fenway any day. Awesome place to watch a game and Natty Boh tall boys for like $5.

Yeah, after I had gone to Camden, it was game over for Fenway. That place is just AWESOME. I love being able to walk all around watching the game with a relatively cheap beer in hand.
