Why would t be the big Draw? Leaner?

Because it's the 2nd anniversary... seems self-evident to me, but there is always a larger crowd and more attention for an anniversary party. Coupled with the 4th of July weekend and I am sure it will be a huge draw.

I would love to make it out there for the anniversary party. I think it would be an awesome time to check out Casey IP for the first time.

Definitely going to the anniversary. There will probably be some pretty special brews available

I wonder if there will be more tickets available for the anniversary in July versus other releases? Either by way of more bottles available or lower bottle counts?

If not, there may be a ton of people showing up without tickets just to buy pours, myself included. It could result in minor chaos given how popular Troy's beers have become since last summer.

I'm sure it will be an awesome time either way as they always seem to accommodate everyone who shows up and make for an enjoyable day.

I doubt more tickets will be sold. Aside from production volume, parking is a major attendance constraint. Troy has said in the past that quantity of tickets will not increase at their current location simply because there isnt enough room for everyone to park.

Was going to say the same thing. There simply isn't room for that many people to attend, car wise or people wise. Carpooling helps and folks double parking makes the rest work, albeit a bit shaky at times, but any more people and it just won't work. The nice weather makes the taproom itself a lot more manageable too, but even that has it limits. Remember the January release in the frigid temps with the door closed? Asses and elbows all damn day.

Yeah but I don't think that's going to stop people going there for the Anny party.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. If more people come without tickets to buy pours, parking is still a problem regardless of tickets.

He could always create 2 sessions so everyone gets a chance to hang out, buy pours and pick up their bottles without it being too packed...

True, but its certainly a proactive way of limiting attendance.

I agree. I just know it's a long weekend and just like last year there are more people who come in from out of state for it. And add to that the number of people up in the mountains for the long weekend already that will just stop in for a pour or two and it's going to be nuts

Agreed, last year was nuts! Then again that was before the Brown Paper Ticket system was enacted. Out-of-staters will probably stay away if they don't get tickets. I agree, the crowd will probably be bigger than average simply because of the holiday weekend. Who knows, maybe we'll see a new approach if they get too much interest. There is a fire code to worry about after all.

I don't recall 7/4 being that bad last year. Things hit the fan for the special releases (September comes to mind).
I think the word is out now, though. I can imagine 3x as many people know about Casey now.

I believe September was the debut of the Family Preserves (sweet cherry and sour Balaton). We got there around 7am and people had been in line for hours.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to remember the relationship of the Casey's:

    Saison
Fruit Stand - 1.5lbs/gal fruit on Saison?
Family Preserve - 2.5lbs/gal fruit on Saison?

    Oak Theory
The Cut - 2.5-3lbs/gal fruit on Oak Theory?

Pretty much, other than the CFP. CFP still uses Saison base, but with double the fruit of Fruit Stand

Troy also noted in early April that all future releases will not specify the amount of fruit being used, however the 2:1 CFP:FS ratio will remain.

Yeah September was those Family Preserves + Cherry and Apricot Fruit Stands and East Bank. My wife and I got there sometime around 6:30 and were behind about 125 people in line. It was pretty crazy.
