Firestone shipments do come in Tuesdays, so i suppose its possible. Whoever you were talking to maybe assumed if it was a new release that it would have come on the Tuesday truck.

I was wondering when someone would ruin it for people with day jobs.

Yeah, noticed it's always the new people that call out these things after they pick up theirs. Don't know if they think they are helping or just purposely trolling, quick lets turn the subject to infected central water releases since rev was already covered yesterday.

They will learn their lesson soon enough, it will take some time. Soon they will know to be quiet and keep low. It's a learning experience, except the new money doesn't stop

Yeah would be a shame if someone contributed to letting others know when a beer becomes available. Darn new money just trying to help out

So for the stores who have not got it in yet- Are Tuesdays and Thursdays the days to really check?

That doesn't make sense to me, all FW is delivered to all stores on 2 days?
I know I saw Stickee Monkee come into a local shop on a Wednesday last year.

You're clearly are on this site regularly enough to see when these people post this information (considering you were able to respond within an hour).

You're not left out on any information and in fact are more informed due to these people than many others that do not utilize beeradvocate to their advantage when searching for beer.Rather than complaining about what is inevitablely going to happen (somebody posting that a specific store has the beer) just use the information you read and go buy the beer. If you are unable to buy it at that very moment, then you are in the same position as before.

I use every tool I can such as beermenus, following untappd checkins, instagram, and sometimes twitter and I still miss out here and there. But i guess maybe I accept the sad fact that getting limited releases in Chicago has become ridiculous...

If it makes you feel any better, the fix was in for weeks. Myself and the other new money, non day job office 9-5 types worked on the plan to spoil it for you. We timed it specifically so the posts coincided with your quarterly staffing/budget meeting. When you sneaked a peak at the forum during your meeting and saw that the Parabola hit, we, the BA "new money", all simultaneously popped our Parabola's open, poured out a little for our dead homies, and cheers'ed to your guttural moan we heard all the way from the Binny's/Whole Foods parking lots throughout Chicagoland. Oh and that one bottle that definitely would have been on the shelf if it wasn't for new money posting in the forum? We reserved it for you at the customer service desk under the name Butt Hurt.

Kinda funny how a couple of the “beer advocates” getting mad at dudes for being generous with beer release info are the same “beer advocates” that are known for line-cutting at special releases, and one is known for double-dipping at GI Pub special releases that are supposed to be 1pp.

Posting when a place gets limited releases is a huge tool for mules, hordes and profiteers. In some cases the only one since stores stop giving the same or any voices info over the phone, straight out lie and typical not want that type in their store if they had a choice. This is mainly the reason lots of the main beer establishments stop posting on social media, sell only to regs, and stagger releases. These people are what is ruining craft beer and gets the veteran beer geeks jimmy's rustled, not the fact beer is less available every year.

When you have been into beer for a while beer menus, FB pages, twitter,,etc. becomes less of a tool or for some by passed all together because we established relationships with employees, obtain knowledge from years past and have real life friends that we share info with and sell extra bottles to at cost to those that missed out. Some one posting throws that out the window and is typical done by new people or trolls simply because they don't have the above resources and after they got theirs.

Not trying to make this into a "before the inter web" or "New vs. Old" post but that fact remains posting a non advertised release is a green thing to do and does more harm than good.

If you have all these superior resources/friends/relationships, one assumes you got or can get a bottle pretty easily. Shouldn't matter if myself or others post about it on a board. I'd wager that profiteers also have just as many inside info/relationships/friends/insider info. To think that profiteering wouldn't exist if "new money" posted on a message board is hogwash.

For every Parabola I get, I miss out on dozens of other great beers. Lots of toys in the toy box, which is one of the good things about "new money" getting into beer. If it wasn't for "new money", there wouldn't be all the great new startup breweries/events. So to say increased demand for craft beer is ruining craft beer is puzzling. I'm sure this isn't the first discussion/disagreement over this topic and won't be the last. Not trying to troll at all. I mean, if all the craft beer went away, I'd have a rum/coke or Schlitz with my bro's instead and I guarantee you have just as much fun. Just hard to understand why it's such a big deal or to be taken so seriously. It's beer man!
