So, yeah. I don't remember when I last posted, and I'm too lazy to check, but I know it's been quite some time.

Anybody out there with new or new-ish weizenbock or hefeweizen recommendations?

And how's that Triple Bock drinking in 2016? :astonished:

    -- UGADawgGuy

P.S. -- I had a lot more than nine posts, back in the day. I guess the number refers to how many times I've posted since the forums changed over to this layout?

Live Oak cans their Hefe now, making it soooooooo much easier to trade for. To me it is the best American Hefe.

Live Oak is canning Primus as well. I think that will be pretty localized to Austin. I can get Hefe in Houston, but nothing else has made it so far. Primus is a fantastic Weizenbock.

Live Oak Hefe is bangin'. Also, Black Market Brewing out of Temecula, CA bottles theirs. Solid

    Welcome back!

Yeah, the number of posts showing for you is how many you've made since the transition as the change was more than just implementing a new format. Lots of other changes in the way the site operates too. Most are described in the Help forum.

If you want to start trading you have to get vetted first so it says "Beer Trader" beneath your pic. Click on the trading link and it should talk you through the steps.

Fair State in Minneapolis has a killer Hefe in 4pk pint cans. Also this years New Glarus Dancing Man is ridiculously good! Both rank right up there with Live Oak, though I haven't been fortunate enough to try the cans yet. The Live Oak crowler I had last year was damn good.

Please see my post in this past weeks New Beer Sunday for a lovely hefe made with blood orange form ellicottville. One of the strongest in the style I have had even though it added orange!

Side Launch Wheat out of Ontario is one of the best hefes I've had that wasn't brewed in Bavaria. Not much of a distribution footprint that I'm aware of, unfortunately.

All the really great German Hefes and Weizenbocks have been named already and I won't repeat them but a good local Hefe in the NJ area is Ramstein Blonde Wheat.

Good to see ya again. And, it's funny, I was just talking about the style earlier today. So, now that you're back, I'm going to give a shout-out to another old-school BA, @ColoradoBobs:
