I have never seen this beer at my local beer stores and that is why I asked if it was a bottled beer.

    Cheers!

Big fan of sunshine pils, Summer love, and SN Summerfest. Looking forward to Stone's Hoppy Blonde as well.

No fruit? I haven't had it yet this year, but it's always been very tangerine tasting in the past.

Well, I am well known to have a barrel aged stout even during the dead heat of summer. However, in the spirit of the summer beers I would have to say I don't drink anything with the word summer actually annotated on the label but Saisons and light farmhouse/sours hit the spot for me. Pfriem just came out with a Peche that is fantastic, makes me want to mow someone else's lawn just so I can enjoy it afterward. Logsdon falls in the same category. Lastly Fremont brewery has their Interurban year round and its light and sessional enough for summer but still packs lots of flavor.

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. Its the original and anything else is just a pretender.

It may technically be a spring seasonal, but I'm thinking where you're located you can get your hands on Captain Lawrence Grapefruit Effortless, well, effortlessly. yeah, it's got citrus, but I recently picked up a 12pack and have been loving it. It's one of the better crafted session IPAs I've had -- it has a pretty clean Palisade hop profile, whereas I find many in the style to have their flavors muddied by excessive hopping, and the grapefruit and hop flavors remain distinct. For me it's one of those lighter beers you can 2 or 3 of in an evening without getting bored.

haha, I like how you roll and have been drinking it a bunch myself lately (loving the availability in 6pks). But I think weizenbocks were created to be the antithesis of summer beers

One of my favorite summer seasonals, Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale, has seemingly been discontinued by the brewery and will be replaced in 2016 by a damn session IPA. I am extremely disappointed.

Edit: Regardless of that disappointment, there are still a handful of summer seasonals for me to enjoy.
    Summerfest
    Oberon
    Alaskan Summer ale
Abita Strawberry Lager & Seersucker Pils

There are also a boat load of non-seasonal beers that are perfect for summer.

So, Goose Summertime seemed like the logical choice...and then I spotted this thread.

Thanks. Yea those hit my preferences spot on. I spotted hayseed and sunshine today but went with brooklyn summer. Ill definitely give those two a try ive not seen that blonde. I am familiar with Narragansett because last summer i drank 12 in one afternoon and the next day followed a hangover ill never forget. Cheers. Thanks

Huh, maybe it's the can color putting ideas in my head, but I've found that beer to have a real strong tangerine profile (from the Amarillos, no fruit added) which I've not found in other Amarillo-heavy beers. All the more impressive that it's a SMaSH beer too.

    @zid
I've also had Summer Love and wanted to like but im not a fan of grapefruit bombs amd that's what i got from it just a pithy grapefruit rind and i ended up giving away the other 5. Not too many good experiences with summer beer i guess. Im really enjoying Brooklyn summer right now hopefully ill find cans for the fishing cooler soon. Ill also be one the lookout for victory summer sampler. Cheers.

I haven't seen Hayseed yet and didn't want you grabbing last year's by mistake... just checked Smutty's site and the landing page had an announcement about Hayseed's release. Whew! Beers like that need to stick around. Gonna go get some.
