I know this is true since you still hang out in some of these threads :stuck_out_tongue:

Just wanted to say thanks. I had emailed them and they confirmed it would be best to call the store at 8pm (just around closing) to confirm inventory, which would be available the following morning. Worked like a charm and I had success.

They are limiting Parabola to 1 bottle per person. The gal mentioned they used to limit to 4 bottles pp, but people were buying and then selling on craigslist/ebay for a profit, so they cut into that practice by limiting to 1 per.... of everything (except their standard brews). I picked up some Luponic Distortion as well, canned on 4/12, and consumed on 4/17.

Just wanted to reiterate what other people have said... I bought one bottle of Parabola, Parabajava, Sucaba and 19th Anniversary. The manager Ryan entered my info into a computer. I cannot buy anymore of those bottles there. I guess for the rest of the year???

It is unsure at the moment when it will reset. I mean, those are all really big beers and getting 19th and Sucaba so long after the release of said beer as well as Parabajava should be enough with 1 bottle of those.

My better half is expected to swing by tomorrow after she lands in LAX. I'll report back on current inventory after I hear from her.

About how long of a drive is it to Firestone from LAX considering traffic?

Traffic depends on the time of day and all that but you're probably looking at 25 minutes on average. With no traffic, it'll be less than 20. With more traffic, you're looking at closer to 30.

You should stop off at El Segundo Brewery on your way (depending on what time you are traveling - check times).

you got me squid. you got me good

what i was trying to say was, El Segundo Brewing is a good place that is a few minutes from LAX to stop by for an out of town BA.

@Sinzanasti I apologize that it is not literally on the way, as I previously stated. Earlysquid is right.

I would hate for you to actually go out of your way and for that, I apologize.

Earlysquid, touché to you my friend. my hat goes off to you. Even I can admit that you have made a mockery of my ridiculous suggestion, and I am ashamed. Even more so, I am impressed with your razor-sharp wit and geographical prowess.

Picked up a 19 and Parabajava around 1 today. Looked like they had at least 12 - 15 bottles of PJ in the front and maybe more in the back.

Are they still taking the names down of folks who buy PJ?

Yes.... But the latest right now is the store is SHUT DOWN. No more sales (at least right now).

I'm not wanting to start rumors, but my wife was on site just now, and a health inspector shut down the store, something about them not having a permit to sell alcohol on premises. Maybe it's bottles they cannot sell, I'm not sure.

She left empty handed, and I called at 1:30pm (90 minutes ago) to confirm availability which they did have. They just are not allowed to sell it.

That's rather disheartening. I wonder what the issue is...surely FW wouldn't open without the proper permits. I sure hope they get it figured out before Friday!

If this is true I wouldn't be surprised if the issue had less to do with FW and more to do with the city of Los Angeles. Sounded like it was a real bitch to open this place primarily due to it's location.
