Corona of course ! Lol sorry I'm being cheeky tonight

Lagers pairs well with hot weather. Refreshing and drinkable. A personal preference is no beer above 9%ABV on very hot days, those knock you down even more in summer

Lol. Honestly if im camping, fishing or just having a fire and bbq, if the beer is over 5.5% ill be put off. Lol 9% is massive for 90°

Yeah even 9% would be over the top. I need something lighter in summer. I take that back. No more than 7%

If I remember correctly, dates should be stamped on the glass of the neck.

    Favorite hot weather beers:
Goses (AV, WB, Destihl, SN Otra Vez)
Pilsners (The Crisp, Pivo, Sunshine, Prima)
Hefeweizens (Weihenstephaner and SN Kellerweis all day long)
Looking to get more into the Kolsch style this summer, seems like more and more breweries are experimenting with it as of late.

Edit: How the heck did I forget saisons? I drank ton of Tank 7 and Sorachi Ace last summer

I'm excited for one Summer seasonal, the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12-pack.

Gose, berlinners, pilsners, Helles, and also I really like the few breweries making <5% table beers/ saisons , that are dry hopped and funky. Love fresh citrusy/fruity hops, barnyard funk and Belgian yeast combo in a light easy summer drinker. Awesome new Americanized style IMO.

Schlafly kolsch was amazing but that lilttle hop bite drops off so quick and it turns into a very sweet beer almost like a sugary english pale. Clown shoes mango is a fruited dry hopped but was also very good. Of youve not had these of course. Leinenkugels canoe paddler is ok. The addition of rye makes it. Without it its not really good.

My least favorite season for beer releases. But, I do love pilsners. Summerfest was good, Bell's Oberon, and I'll snag a SN variety pack with their Kolsch.

If I could get those table beers in sixers it would be great, but as it is I'm only getting them on draught lately. I totally agree, though, that those would round out my summer drinking very nicely- maybe even be my #1. The Beer Backer Berliner Weiss (with brett) is incredible at 2.5%, but too pricey to make a regular thing.

As it is, the big regional Pilsners, Lost Nation Gose and maybe a few pale ales will make for a great season as usual.

no SN Kolsch this year per Hoppy Lager returns thread. I lobbied hard for it. Really disappointed here, not sure a hoppy lager and session IPA are a good combo. Last thing the world needs is another session IPA.

For me, Ommegang Fleur de Houblon is the perfect Summer beer. The color is beautiful and it is fruity and floral. I'm thirsty just thinking of it!

Thanks, I missed that one. Yea, that blows. Quite a few people will be disappointed.

I'm very happy the Hoppy Lager will be included (I've not tried it), but I'm in full agreement on the Session IPA. I didn't get to try the Kolsch last year and I would much rather have that in the pack. Not a fan of Session IPA's.

Yea, session IPA's, good ones, are few and far. Liked the hoppy lager, too. SN should probably update their webpage: http://www.sierranevada.com/beer/specialty/summer-pack
