I just bought a can of their double IPA knowing nothing about them. The label didn't prevent my purchase.

^ I should have clarified. I've only had 2 of their beers so far but enjoyed both. I think they're new to my area because I've seen tons of single bottles and 6 packs on the shelves so I'm eager to try as many as I can. I did pass over them for a while because I really thought at first glance their logo was just a bar code, and it looked cheap, like my grocery store started brewing their own beer or something.

ACTUAL Windows 98 MS paint labels would be killer! BA avatars would be super cool like this also.

Brown Note randallized through a pair of tighty whiteys. Doesn't it look delicious?

Just when I thought I could never not want to try that beer any more, something like this burns my retinas...

Weyerbacher went through a rebranding a little while back, and they need to do it again.

I'll add Southern Tier, not for looks as much as I always seem to LOOK waaaaaay too long trying to decipher the style from the list of hops, malts etc etc. that were used to brew said style...thankfully there's BA:wink:

Speaking of...I like Sixpoint's look and format, but, for those that aren't familiar with their beers, it's very difficult to figure out what style of beer each offering is. I mean, unless I'm missing something, the cans deliberately do not say it in English.

I think Brew Bus here in FL is pretty bad, they need to change their name and labeling. They're a beer tour company that started brewing beer and weren't creative enough to give their brewery a good name.

I haven't had any of their darker offerings but the rest are more or less bitter variations of each other, IMO. Though I did enjoy Sweet Action & Bengali Tiger.

I personally do not think anyone NEEDS to change their labeling, etc. unless they think that it will help sales......or there sales are lagging and they need a new breath of fresh air !

I think it says what style it is on the box it comes in.

Smuttynose for sure is god awful. On a more local note in my neck of the woods I can't stand roll on labeles. And two Henry's in central Florida is awful. Bland flavorless colors.

I hate their silver colored cans, they looks like energy drinks or sodas. But I like the colored cans (ie: Resin, Hi-Res, etc), those look pretty classy, imo. And I really like the slim cans a lot.

Yeah but you don't always get them in a box, and they have some kind of secret code as to what the shapes of their beer logos mean. I mean, they can't put three letters (IPA) or five (stout) on a can, even if hidden underneath? Weird.

Pretty much all of them apart from Enjoy By IPA. They look like a back patch that a metalhead from the early 80s would have sown onto his sleeveless denim jacket. On top of that I think the clear labelling looks cheap.

Must be why I like them so much.

Nah I mean to each his own I guess, I just really think that the illustrations are clean and modern - maybe they are reminiscent of older designs, but they're executed in a very modern way (linear and high-contrast). The typography is excellent, and the color schemes (black/white/gray with a single accent color) are striking. And of course, it certainly helps that the contents of the bottles don't suck.
