I don't know what retail price will be but I would expect it to be more than $10, just by looking at the keg pricing. Where did you see $10 @JD_Bogerdy?

Nor is the fruit that many breweries add to batches and then charge 2 to 3 times this price per bottle, which was my point.

This isn't true though. Oranges are substantially cheaper than most other fruits used in beer. Cherries, berries (raspberries, blackberries, etc.), and apricots, for example, are all approximately 3x more expensive per pound, if not more. Check out price stats here: http://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/fruit-and-vegetable-prices.aspx

Still, it's a good price for what it is. Hopefully this gets distro to NYC and doesn't have an insane markup.

Also aged in barrels, made from wood, from trees, for a year. Just saying it's refreshing and nice to see. I'm not much of a strong ale fan but I would pick one of these up for $10.

Not sure if the brewery has more but we just got it in yesterday. It will be allocated. We didn't get much.

I haven't even seen it. I'm in Charleston and I don't believe CBX or Bottles has gotten any in yet.

Cool thanks. Was hoping someone that picked up bottles from the brewery could give some feedback. The check-ins on Untappd look pretty positive but I don't always trust those.

I had Grand-mere this past weekend, and I definitely enjoyed it. Has a distinct orange liqueur flavor to it, but it's not hot at all. Definitely an after dinner dessert type beer. A buddy picked it up at the brewery this past weekend.

Grand-mere is still available at the brewery as of yesterday. They had about 4-5 cases on the floor, not sure if that was their whole supply. I bought a couple, didn't try it yesterday but likely will tomorrow.

Anyone try Leopold yet? Trying to decide if I want to shell out $20 a bottle for it. I probably should.
