Everyone's olfactory sensors are genetically different. The way your orthonasal and retronasal work in conjunction with the entire gustatory system will always be uniquely your own.

Drinking Magic Green Nuggets right now. This beer is so damn good. Honestly top 5 of my favorite OH beers. If they canned this beer I might actually considering waiting on line (maybe...).

What are everyone's expectations for Lime Green Galaxies? Think it will be a straight up traditional tasting Kolsch or will it be something completely different (i.e. Boat, a hoppy sessionalble ale using Kolsch yeast.) Hoping to get some reports on it before Saturday morning so I know how much I wanna buy (looking at you @Kanger)

Was lucky enough to get some All Orange Everything in a trade. Really superb.

Can tell that AGE's genetics are there, but it really stands out as a unique beer. No booziness at all. Clementine juice and orange all around. Try as hard as you can to get this, it's really worthwhile.

Had the new Crush It!: Motueka (4.4%. Session pale ale with Motueka hops) last night at Covenhoven and it reminded me of a more refined version of their single-hop Motueka Pale from way back in the day. Was thinking about that and unearthed this gem from June 2014:

    #TBT

Nonetheless, really excellent. Reminds me of a tangier Boat.

Lol yep, these days AGE is $20 for a 32oz fill and the 8oz pour is $7....which is understandble to a certain degree because I'm sure it's expensive to make and demand is so high for that beer.
I miss them doing flights but I can also see why they stopped offering them.

I know @whatruDOINdragic posted in last month's OH thread, but I wanted to follow up. He and I will be flying into Brooklyn this Saturday (4/23) and had hoped to go to OH around lunchtime or in the early afternoon. How crazy do people expect this release to be? If we just want to grab some beers, will that be doable in this time range (not worried about seating, just fitting inside so we can drink)? And, if we did want to grab some cans, will there be some left in the afternoon or will they likely sell out due to a long line before opening?

    Thanks for any advice!

hmm this is a tough question. It really depends on the cans. If a big crowd come out there will probably still be a line at 12/1 oclock. If its not a big crowd you will be fine. I personally think this will be a pretty low key can release and should be able to grab cans later in the afternoon with no crowd.

I think this will be similar to the Galaxy/Get Wheated release where cans lasted until late in the day/early into Sunday.

Speaking of Galaxy/Get Wheated, anyone else notice something weird with the cans from this release? Over the course of the batch I noticed some of the cans felt really soft/semi-empty. Then today I was reorganizing my fridge and I noticed I had 1 can of Galaxy & Get Wheated left that had completely hardened, as if they were frozen. The top of the Galaxy can had a huge outward dent. Seems like some of the cans from that particular week may have been infected?

I had a Diamond Mausoleum can that was exactly as you describe. I chalked it up as an anomaly.

I have faith that this will be, at the very least an out of the ordinary kolsch and something that will be perfect for warm weather drinking. I actually more excited for this than the prickly pear IPA.
