Just picked up a can of "Pamola Session Ale", has the same ABV as Pamola XPA, but different can design. Did they just re-brand it or is this a distinct beer?
Lame. I love session beers and Pamola is OK, but 4.9% is not a session beer. Here's the new label: http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2015/09/baxter-brewing-pamola-session-ale-12oz.html Other labels: http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2016/04/baxter-brewing-stowaway-ipa-12oz-cans.html http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2016/03/baxter-brewing-summer-swelter-12oz-cans.html http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2016/01/baxter-brewing-tarnation-maine-lager.html
Well, others will disagree with me, but I think a session beer should be at the most 4.5% ABV -- preferably lower. (This old Beer Advocate article claims a session beer should be under 5%, but I think that's too high.) This blog post from @ChrisLohring of Notch sums up my feelings on the subject.
From my understanding, they rebranded everything and did actually add a dry hop to the Pamola, which it didn't have before.
