Snozzberry Day - May 1st

When it's good, it's got a nice berry flavor and a huge puckering sourness. I thought the keg that was poured at Funk Asheville had a ton of diacetyl off-flavor.

Not entirely accurate, but to the best of my knowledge kegs have only been poured at festivals. It was on tap at Funk Asheville last year, at the very least.

 

So what's everyone's plan for getting in line?

 

Was it on tap? I remember getting a pour from bottles.

 

It was definitely on tap at the Embrace the Funk Fest last year.

 

I'd swear I got a pour from a tap, but it was dark out so maybe I was mistaken.

 

I didn't stay all day but during the Maceo release last year they tapped a keg I believe. Just what I heard.

 

How much involvement did/does the guy from Zebulon have in the making of this beer? Anyone know?

 

I'm sure some others closer to the Asheville scene would know more than I do, but just based on the timing of everything I'd say he was involved in everything prior to deciding when it was ready to be bottled. He definitely was involved in the brewing of it.

 

I don't recall a keg, but my buddy and I got our allotment and also popped a bottle to share at the bar. @JdoubleA - you recall a keg? We would've hit that instead of popping a bottle. Maybe they had one out later?
